football was invented in England, Americans call it soccer. Probably so they can say football to their abomination which is American Football :ROFLMAO:
also an oxymoron cause they rarely use their feet to play the ball haha

There’s a football game named Pro Evolution Soccer, so around here many will say soccer instead of football.

There’s a football game named Pro Evolution Soccer, so around here many will say soccer instead of football.

Yes, we love to use English words and transform them into Portuguese: football becomes “futebol” knock out “nocaute”, etc
But because of video games we like to use soccer, that doesn’t sound like a similar word to our language.

Ah that's funny just like the Japanese. They have so many anglicisms.
Like my.favourite .. knife is spoken like neifu. 🤣
