The #3 ranked Syracuse Orangemen will host Villanova tomorrow at noon at the Carrier Dome. The Big East game will be televised on ESPN. A crowd of over 33,000 is expected to attend. SU students camped out all week outside the Dome to grab the last of the "extended view" tickets to be a part of what could be record-breaking attendance. Luckily for them, there is a huge screen where fans can watch the game and enjoy a beer and Dome dog.
Last season, an NCAA on-campus record 34,616 fans watched Syracuse defeat Villanova, 95-77, on February 27. That total broke the previous record of 33,633 that also gathered to watch the Orange and Wildcats battle in the regular-season finale of the 2005-06 season.
Kris Joseph, SU's leading scorer, is expected to return to the line up after recovering from last week's head injury.
