The NFL fined the New York Jets $100,000 in the wake of discoveries involving strength and conditioning coach Sal Alosi, who instructed inactive players to stand in a wall in a prohibited area on the sideline to deter opposing teams' players during special-teams plays.

"This is both a competitive violation as well as a dangerous tactic," read the NFL statement to announce the fine.

so they did what now? any cheating is uncalled for and should result in a fine/penalty, but what exactly did they do?

They stood in the wrong area...kind of like the Patriots camera guy did a few years back. This led to the Jets calling the Pats, Cheaters. Therefore, the Jets are now cheaters and everything the win from now on will be considered null and void, because of their cheating. Lets call them The NY Cheats.

well whats funny is how fast they threw the pats under the bus. the patriots payed for the crime they committed what 4 years ago. they got fined a pretty heavy amount and lost draft picks. so for the jets to throw them under the bus is completely classless. i hate the jets and everything they stand for. just further proves that they are nothing more then media whores.
