Holy crap I'm in love...

From a first timer's point of view, tight ABC poker helps. If there's a raise, reraise, and you wanted to play that suited connector/suited A or whatever, best to fold and move on.

Also, discipline with your BR. I went from $5 to $19 and then back down to $8 last night (bad beats, got unlucky and stacked 2 people off, THANKS RIVER). I found it hard to find a time to stop playing, which was a first for me. Figure out an end point for you before you start your session for sure.

does Bovada track how many times you've paid the blinds on these? I keep winding up in the blinds sometimes 4-5 times in a row.

Their page on it gets into more detail, but I will try and explain what they said. The big blind is determined to be the person who has gone the most hands without paying a big blind (or a person new to the game), the small blind and button are the players who are randomly seated to the right of the big blind.

Love zone poker. It's nice to be able to change it up and play some quick hands on this. Nostalgia may also have a lot to do with me liking it.

I am so happy that they have 25nl up and running right now. It makes it so much easier to meet my point goals each week.

Yeah I agree. I dont know if its just normal thursday/pre weekend traffic but it seems to have picked up a bit on the regular ring games also

Anyone know if there is anything in the works for Merge to bring this feature to it's network?

****ing awesome. I hope by the time I'm grinding Bovada they have it up to the small stakes (and allow at least two effing tables).

I would definitely be nice to be able to open a couple tables of the same stakes.

OK,
The "Check/Fold Now" option from the Big Blind. I expected this to work in the following way, "I click it and then it waits for the first action that would enable a fold (a raise), then it insta-folds me." How it actually seems to work, "Insta-folds me regardless of the action in front of me." I guess that's not a huge deal, I just won't use that from the Big Blind.

It's ambiguous. I thought it would either check if my opponent checks or insta-fold me when my opponent bets, but it always insta-folds.

Zone Poker, very, very buggy

I have grown to love Bovada, but their Zone poker is buggy as hell and not ready for prime time. Every time I go bust, which happens to me often when I play a zillion hands, my client crashes. Every time I sit out, my client crashes. Sometimes I get dealt cards that I can't see. All those invisible cards that I can't see and must fold add up to a serious loss of revenue when one plays a zillion hands.

I wrote Bovada explaining the crashing situation and even gave them debug information about the problem. They give me this boilerplate response indicating that this had to do with a weak connection on my part, which is complete nonsense.

Zone poker is too buggy for me. If and when Bovada wants to make a stable product and give professional support when they have bugs, instead of not acknowledging issues, I will be happy to play Zone Poker. Until then, I'll stick to the regular cash games at Bovada.

They are probably right and it is a connection issue on your end. I have played a fair amount without any problems, and no one else has mentioned this happening so I would guess it is either that or maybe your computer is to slow.

The full ring 9 player games are not being played at all on any of the games. (NLHE, OMAHA, OMAHA H/L) I prefer the full ring when I play zone games, since you see more hands relative to the uncertaintly of the blinds. I don't know if no one wants to start the ball rolling and wait for the tables to fill or maybe likes the number of players involved with the short hand game.

A connection issue shouldn't crash the client, nor should it make my cards invisible. People are complaining about this is reddit as well. I never have connection issues playing cash games.

The players in these remind me of the old trick for catching raccoons; bore a hole in a fallen log and drive two nails in diagonally beside the hole so that their points are sticking out and downward into the hole. Put a piece of aluminum foil in the bottom of the hole and a raccoon will stick his paw in there to grab it, problem is that if he's holding something he can't get his paw out past the nails and since he refuses to let go, he's stuck there. Same thing, people willing to call off their whole stack with bottom pair or even just Ace-rag, just can't seem to find the fold button.

Bovada players really don't understand the concept of folding. It's an awesome site!

So it's been going for a bit now, and I was just looking to see how much time everyone is spending at the Zone table???

I've logged only about 10 hours spread across the different limits they offer, something I'm looking to boost up a bit. I was just curious as to how long a typical session runs for you at Zone?? Also what stakes do you play at during your sessions.

Anyone got this problem

humm, yesterday, i just press sitting out in Zoom
and found after leaving table, the fund in Zoom is NOT returned to my account.

so I closed my poker clients and re log in ,well the funny situation is that
i am still in the Zoom, and shows I am still sitting out...LOL

think I was stuck in the Zoom for about 1 hour something, till i re re re log in about 1 hour later , everything back to normal.

and till that time, I am unable to play Zoom...LOL

Had the same thing happen to me only my client crashed and then somehow I got disconnected which kicked me off the table.

I've been waiting for a cashout from lock for a few months now and I am thinking of depositing on bovada. Zone poker may be the tipping point :)
