Right now I can't but I know for sure that with hard work an effort I will make much more than $1000/month ... I agree with DomGov I'm following Charlie carrell 's bankroll challenge very cool also if you speak Spanish you can follow Zerospoker (Elias Gutierrez) he also have a bankroll challenge and explain a lot of good material ... I trying make poker my career when I finally can dedicate 100% I believe progress will be faster... But it is definitely possible to win even more than 1k/month Good Luck!

Now many players have software and charts of starting hands. Software can help play flop and give to you solution. pokerstars do nothing with it. Most of UberReg who have big money at PS players are using software. Poker Pro NL_Profit Filatov dont remember big pots of his play when he is watching replays. It is terrible and kill poker online. He had raiting at one poker site about 35000, now users after know about it , down it to 4500 (one user can +/- 100 voite raiting)... Of course you can do $1000 per month, but you should play illegal like do it most profit players. It is sad

No, I won't make it on Pokerstars, but if overall in different rooms, then yes.

But have you personally watched his (Nl_Profit) replay? Because seeing all the talking on GT I expected to see something outrageous, but honestly I didn't notice anything suspicious at all. Though I've watched only the 1st half of the video, will watch the 2nd half later, maybe there is something weird in his pre-FT or FT play.
But so far I think that people are overreacting over this video, just because of his other latest actions.

Most likely, yes, if you spend a lot of time on poker, I think I would have done it.

can you make $1000/month in poker star now?

Now, not before.

I think it's a very difficult mission
First, your deposit must be at least $ 200
You need to carefully select the tournaments that you will play
You have to set a daily poker budget ... for example $ 20
If you have a bad day then you can try tomorrow
I personally think that it is best to play maximum two tournaments per day
For example, I liked to play Bounty Builder $ 7.5 and $ 11
But it's hard to keep self-control
Anyway, I wish you a lot of luck :top:

I used to find that satellites into larger tournaments were a good use of funds. Especially when those games were $500+ entries. Then you play the entry + making the money will get you a substantial payout.

Sometimes playing multiple satellites is better than getting entry into the tournaments. ie. First time you get a ticket, subsequent wins you can get a payout (at least you used to be able to years ago).

:heeeellllAnything is possible if you learn to control yourself! Several times in tournaments with a rather large buy-in with a good stack, I lost my self-control and ...:saint:
It all depends on us!

Yes Eva...I agree
especially if the tournament is played for 5-6 hours
It's very difficult to stay focused so much time

Yes, but not in the micros, and if you had the BR to jump out the micros, you wouldnt be asking the question, so the answer is no.

I think you can win this amount and much more if you play poker responsibly and if you follow a strategy accompanied by a lot of discipline in time management money and know how to control impulses.

It's probably easier to do on poker stars compared to other sites but it's dependent on your average buy-in and total volume.

:burnout:
I like poker, that this is a real school for training many psychological qualities - patience, endurance, the ability to analyze and quickly make a decision! Then the reward will be a victory! But at such great distances (in big tournaments) I still break down and make irreparable mistakes ...:icon_joke

You have to be both lucky and very patient, as well as afford to lose too.
Because I do not think you're going to profit every month, Good luck!

Hint: this ^ is NOT the way to do it!!

VOLUME is what you'll be needing to play if we're suggesting tournament play.
Also a deposit of $1,000 would be more reasonable (200 buyins with avg. buyin $5)

Why do we need to set a 'daily poker budget'? This sounds like a 'stop loss' method to avoid going on tilt or something. (hint, IF you're prone to tilt you're not going to have a chance at earning $1k/mth.)

2 tournaments per day is another poor idea if we're hoping to reach this goal. Instead it should be>> Play 4 to 10 tournaments at a time (or whatever you're comfortable with & profitable at) & consider playing upwards of 30 tournaments per day!

At an ROI of +20%, you'd need to playing at least a total of $250 in buyins each day if we're playing 20 days each month.
If you're average buyin is $4, that equals 60 games per day!

Do you mean can we make it from absolute zero? If so, then my answer is no. There're not that much freerolls at PS now to make some profit from zero in a small time, and the players' pool is tougher than, for example, in 2008. There are tons of decent players at PS, too. You can find 'softer' sites to play at. In case when you have some money on your account from the beggining and you play at least NL50 and you play like a pro then well you probly can do it, but I can't state it for sure cause I'm a f*cking freeroller.

This is possible if you are not new to this business, or if you are a genius.

It's my goal. I am sure that I will be ready to win 1000 Dollars per month in the nearest future but now I am not skilled enough. I am getting my experience and improving my skills now to reach this goal and to be ready to win 1000 dollars per month

Chris Ferguson made $10K from nothing in the space of a month. If you have the time and 'luck' then I don't see why not.

Yah... errr.. NO. This ^ is NOT correct.

During Ferguson's challenge ($0 to $10k) it took him 7months to get to $100 & another 8 mos. to hit the $10k mark.

If a person has the 'luck' I don't see why it couldn't happen in 2days.

If a person has the time it really doesn't matter as this will generally just equate to more time to lose more $'s. (most players are losing money in the longrun).

I can definitely see why not. Tables aren't as soft as they were back in 2009 when the Ferguson Challenge was taking place. There's still MANY bad players in the micro limits (just read through all the freeroller's threads here on CC), but it would still be a hell of a grind to hit $10k from zero.

My bad but still possible, only if you get by the small change games and by the bad players, then would become a bit easier to hit it.
