After struggling w/MTT's, I won my second MTT in consecutive nights. I know that they were only 18 SNG's but, I have really struggled with MTT's. I took the time to study past tournaments and realized that I was playing too aggressive on middle/low pairs (77's, 88's, etc) with people calling all in. I didn't cash in right away but I could see a big difference in where I was finishing so that gave me more and more confidence.

I usually played 9 SNG's because of time contraints but I am going to start playing more MTT SNG's. A question that I have is, I play $6.50 turbos on PS, should I drop down to $5.50 27 SNG's for a while or should I keep playing the 18 SNG's that I am now? bankroll is not an issue because I play 5% of my bankroll. Any advice would be appreciated.

Congratulations TKO on your win. It seems like a great day for CC members and MTT wins recently. It is an accomplisment after struggling and then winning, as that means you are learning, I hope we all have been some help. I play similiar tables and it is not as easy as it seems, take the wins when you can get them. Good Luck at future tables.

Thanks aloevera. Cardschat has been a huge help to me. I learn something new everyday from the posts here, and it helps me break up the boredom at work from time to time.

ok ill give you some advice i was given a while back and it has changed my results massivly

Dont play turbos at this level it is not worthwhile if you play normal mtts then there is better chance of you outplaying people rather thn just donking about which every1 has to do a certain amount of in a turbo.

It is good that you only play 5% of your br and you should stick to tht philosiphy

Congrats on your win it feels good huh :D

Thanks for the advice Stefan. I think now I am going to start playing 27 SNG's for a while and see where that gets me. One more quick question. At what point did you feel confortable to move up to a higher stake game? 100 games?

By the way Stefan, congrats on your MTT win!!!

I personally dont play higher than 10buck sng mtts now but the only way you will know when to move up is when you get to the point where you go out of a majority of your sngs to bad beats then you know your game has progressed to a point where you should move up and conversly this should have given you enough profit to be able to play the higher level without risking more thn the 5% of your br

thanks for the congrats and i hope you will be posting your first mtt win soon. tho mine was only a 90 person tiddler lol
