How to configure the firewall correctly? Link is not working for you. Please ispravte problem and help me.


Hi It seems The problem is Either In Client itself or In Network/PC

First of all I would like u to do Following : -

Go to Control Panel > Security center > scroll to down > Click Windows Firewall

It will open Firewall settings window and make sure that Firewall is On
Go to Exceptions Tab and lookout for pokerstars program and make sure it is selected by Ticking
If it is not there in the list , then u must Add the program
By clicking Add program and Navigating to pokerstars folder
Which u will find under C:\Program Files folder
Find Pokerstars Folder and select Pokerstars.exe and click ok
after that The pokerstars program gets updated in list and make sure it is selected and click ok

after u finished doing first process , disconnect your LAN / Modem from your PC and Restart computer

and then Reconnect your networking device and start client to see if it works

and also make sure that u have installed .Net Framework latest version and all
Important ones are .Net 1.0 , 1.1 , 2.0 , 3.0 , 3.5 , 4 Versions

are you a pokerstars representative? I dont think the problem is the Firewall but the software. :confused:

The Problem can be either in Firewall or in Client or possibly in PC too

The Firewall is For responsible for allowing incoming/outgoing connections through medium of network within the Programs

So if Program is not added to list of exception , there would be problem with cnnectivity

If problem is in Client then one must freshly download software from pokerstars main site and install and apart from that it is very important to make sure that .net Framework of all relevant versions be installed as the problem might be occuring because of this too

after that registry or network problem can be reason

When U click on Windows Firewall and new window opens up okay
if u take good look at that window you will find 3 tabs on upside

Which are General , Exceptions , Advanced

click Exceptions and do as i said

The following information is very basic and it may vary depending on the software you are using.
1. Open the firewall control panel.
2. Click on the 'Programs' or 'Applications' tab.
3. Locate the following items in the program list:
PokerStars GUI (or .exe)
PokerStarsUpdate.exe
PokerStarsCommunicate.exe
PokerstarsBr.exe
Tracer.exe
xc.exe
4. For each of these ensure they are set to 'Permit' or 'Allow', if they are blocked.
5. If the files above are not in the list, you will need to manually add them to the list.
6. Close the firewall and restart your computer.

click Exceptions and do as i said

1) I Went to the firewall; 2) I understand that it is necessary to click on the "Inbound Rules" or "Allow a program or feature through the firewall"

If it helps any one. I find the mobile updates happen separately, so if you have a cell phone or tablet with poker stars already on it and updated you can still get in your tourney last min. Only helps if you have a mobile device. Although I find it a lot harder to navigate and find tourneys the mobile app. I think some don't even show up on mobile. Some times I've even Registered for a tourney on the PC, then switched over when I wanted to use mobile, to avoid frustration.

in the mobile, real money tournaments do not appear, the only way is that you register on the PC and then play in the mobile...!!!

Since last update I have had problems in the game on the phone, but all set up, and the job is not just boot times W the tenth((

I updated in just a few minutes, both of them, FT & PS.
Didn't experience any issues during update's on both of them.

they update about a week once update time very very slow
I think the problem is the Firewall or some software
But thank you for info.

PokerStars UPDATE!

For those of you that play on PokerStars they are downloading a new version today, so you might want to to get that out of the way before the next FreeRoll!
