i think out money is pretty much safe everywhere. none of these site are going to totally screw over american players and not allow them to get their money back as it will totally destroy their reputation. even in the worst case situation, you'll get your money back.

also, full tilt is clearly taking a strong stance on this issue and will continue to allow american players, and pokerstars, while they haven't issued a press release yet, i'm sure will continue to be the industry leader and not bend over for the US gov't.

i don't want to give anyone the wrong ide, but i think its okay to be cautiously optimistic here. if the democrats get in in november, they'll be all over taxing online gaming and regulating the industry, and if not, i really believe this ban will be far too costly and unrealistic to ever truly enforce. while i like seeing relevant issues discussed here, and i don't want to give anyone false hope, i really don't think we have much to worry about.

and being the optimist that i am, if online poker is somehow banned, we'll have an excuse to play live more, plus it'll drastically cut down on the turnout at the wsop, which will be great for the real players.

I would guarantee that the Democrats have at least 100 other issues that are more important to them right now than the legality of online poker.

perhaps, but they, as a political party, tend to be far more concerned with generating revenue (for the government at least) then the republicans are, and i believe that a democratic led legislature, this would be a non issue, quickly resolved in the most logical way possibe

I think a lot of people are panicking right now . . . I would hate to lose Titan, but so far my account is ok and I haven't gotten any notice from them. Wait and see, is what I would recommend . . . and definitely let Frist and his republican, cheap-sneaky-dirty-politics cronies know in the upcoming election that we won't stand for this kind of crap!!

The situation seems to be changing all the time, but Absolute have stated they will definitely remain open to U.S. players.

In addition, Full Tilt, Ultimate, and bodog have all stated that they are making no hasty decisions and will continue to serve the U.S. at least until the legal situation is clarified.
