So what your saying is that if you went to Wal-Mart and one of their employees stole something from you you would stop going to Wal-Mart indefinitely?

Listen, if you want to play at a site that's been proven to be compromised and has cheated players of millions of dollars, be my guest - but don't make it sound like I'm the one with whacky ideas.

I'm really not trying to call you "whacky", but I think that UB is probably one of the best sites to trust these days.

With all the bad publicity you would think they would be on the up and up a little more than the others. UB is a bigger site and stands to lose quite a bit if they don't get their act straight. But whatever. I really don't care if you play them or not. I just think it's a little over the top by continuing to think they are still cheating.

I totally disagree with you that UB is a site to trust. UB and Absolute are sistered, and they are both the only major sites I know of where systematic cheating has been proven. Admittance and atonement came very reluctantly, and it's still not shown that they've solved the problem of superaccounts. Yes, one would think they'd strive to be on the up and up, but the December 20 incident is very troubling and has yet to be explained.

Why would anyone play there when there are reputable alternatives?

This is not a small thing, my friend. I just don't understand why you are not troubled by a documented pattern of cheating and abuse. Would you play at a B&M casino that was known to spread unfair games?

I think UB and AP are already suffering heavily from their previous failures and indiscretions. I've checked their tourney lobby from time to time recently and found that it is not uncommon for many of their MTT's to start with so few players that it looks more like a 9 or 18 seat SnG. There are also a lot of them voided when there are -0- players registered at start time.

The players are speaking where they should - with their money.

When you open UB, there is new screen that claims Cereus is "The Strongest Poker Technology on Earth". So I clicked the "Learn More" and all I really got was a trip to their website. Oh yeah, cutesy graphics, tecky type animations, whoopy! It took some real searching to get to their site map for real information.

During my navigation to their site map, I noticed they touted their new 'rabbit cam' feature. First thing I checked then was their RNG section. In part it reads:
"The length of time that any particular number in the random stream is a candidate to be used to select a card to be dealt is very short.

The algorithm used to select the next card to be dealt absolutely assures that every remaining card in the deck is exactly equally likely to be chosen."

This alone tells me that their software claims are dysfunctional and the 'rabbit' feature is useless and a sham. Stars clearly tells it's customers that the entire deck is set before the first card is dealt, just like a live deck. "IF" they offered that feature, 'rabbiting' would be accurate. You would see the next cards that would have been dealt.

Full Tilt will openly tell you that they use a 'constant shuffle' and 'rabbiting' would be useless. UB wants you to 'think' that their 'rabbit' feature would really tell you what the next cards 'would have been' (so you, the sucker, can play more 'results oriented' poker). NOT TRUE, when they state: "the next card to be dealt absolutely assures that every remaining card in the deck is exactly equally likely to be chosen." They are obviously using a 'constant shuffle' format.

In other words, they'll even put their lies in print.

All I can hope is that if I get my BR to a transferrable balance (and it's close due to CC games) I can find someone who wants to trade balances. (keeping my fingers crossed) I won't play $.01 of my own cash there.

Is there a minimum for transfers at UB? I too have just enough to play the CC games and would never put another penny there. I'm glad people are voting with their dollars. These sites deserve to fail - not just because they have some weak software but because they are blatantly dishonest.

Maybe dg will do a transfer trade with you? I make the same offer. I'll trade out most of my UB account for a transfer at PS, FT or Carbon.

All the Best,
Gary
