Thoughts on PokerStars new update?

Hi y'all!

You all may notice that pokerstars did a update.
I didn't read the patch notes or anything. I just noticed that there's a new sparkle when you win the hand and you can shuffle your chips when you bet (that was cool xD) Other then that the update seems so unecessary.

What's your thoughts about it? Did you notice anything new other then what I mentioned?

Yes, now when you win, there is glitter, it's very cool done at the design level believe me it's cool even if you didn't notice when you get cards if the first card is smaller than the second then they change places and the highest card in your hand will always be the first card in your hand, they also did it cool and removed all free freerolls from the site so that players only play Pokerstars tournaments this will increase the number of players on the site now online is much higher than before

Needless to show the cards and what you won the game with is in favor of beginners who do not know the combinations.Very very annoying now I read that you can exclude yourself and I will do it 👎👎👎

I think all these updates only make things worse. I love poker, but personally I don't need all these visual special effects, it's starting to look like some kind of kindergarten. It is all the more disappointing that PokerStars has canceled all of our CardsChat freerolls.

well, to me it doesn't change that much. It's similar to GG now, I think people is complaining about Pokerstars just because 😅

I think all these updates only make things worse. I love poker, but personally I don't need all these visual special effects, it's starting to look like some kind of kindergarten. It is all the more disappointing that PokerStars has canceled all of our CardsChat freerolls.

If the kindergarten look attracts players that care for childish things it's all good.

You can turn off most extra visual things in settings like I did.

Other than what you said, I didn't see anything other than that but I personally didn't like it much, I preferred the way it was, even the lobby they changed recently and I still haven't fully adapted

My opinion on most if not all these little features is meh-whatever. I play at Pokerstars because of their security, integrity and they're one of the least scummiest sites over the last 20+ years.

The only real thing I wish they'd add is a staking feature like GG's. Also course always longer blind level MTT's and Multi-table SnG's again. Give us more/back 180-360 player SnG/MTT's with 10+ min blind levels at all stakes.

I likely wouldn't play them much but more freerolls too help attract players would be nice as well.

Totally agreed! I wish they added staking too. And maybe fixing those chest rewards bugs xD. Other then that I like PS aswell for all those points you mentioned. Well if I could ask something more of Pokerstars it would be a better cashback system, spin n go's rather then power path tickets.
But it is what it is.

I didn't like the new animation or table features but at least you could turn those off so technically it's positive change - since it's just more added.

Unlike the dark info at top right they came up last year which cannot be turned off which is just.... weird. Honestly weirdest decision known to man.

They were cancelled, because they no longer filled and ran. Just like the 9-max Zoom tables for cash players. This is, what happen, when the player pool has been getting smaller and smaller for at least 15 years.

Not sure why they update so often. Little ever seems to improve. More of an inconvenience for users as they have to constantly re update the App. A lot of delay.

So maybe....but the following is 100% true. The fast the game/MTT the quicker the player loses his money and the faster the site makes theirs. Sooner or later with the player losing his money faster and faster and the games becoming more and more of a lottery ticket the majority of the player pool go broke and leave never to return. But this is far from the topic and could fill many novels.

poker sites overall are stupid and short sighted much like majority of their players.

EDIT: Basically what the Govt hasn't killed with poker black Friday the poker sites killed by relieving the majority of the player pool which is rec/hobby losing players of their money way to quickly with little to no enjoyment or time spent to show for it. Kill a persons enjoyment in their hobby you've lost them as a player forever.

That was years ago. The last 180 mans to be taken down were the 2,5$ turbo and the 1$ regular speed, and even they did not run all that frequently anymore, and neither did the 4,5$ "on demand" regular speed game. And this is why, they simplified their game selection by turning anything above 18-man SnGs into "on demand" games. Which by the way are also not that popular with the 5$ games only running during peak hours and often only attracting enough players to make 3-5 places pay.

This is just the reality of the situation, and rather than moaning about, which games are no longer offered, its better to fokus on, what is still offered. And the 18-mans are pretty popular basically running 24 hours a day, at least up to the 10$ limit. Or you can play time scheduled MTTs, several of which dont attract much more than 180 players anyway, and sometimes even less outside the peak hours.
