888 Poker is currently running its first ever phase tournament series, which they call "The Terminal". Phase 2 is going to play on december 23, and players have until a few hours before the start of this to play phase 1, which last around 2½ hours. I kind of like this concept, because it create a large pricepool without making each phase last excessively long.
Admittedly the size of these tournaments are going to be nothing compared to pokerstars special events like the coming Winter Series. But on the upside especially the cheapest tournament is a bit of a bargain. 888 Poker only charge 50c rake for a 7$ tournament, which on PokerStars would be 84c.
Maybe I am a bit of a cheapskate, but I like to pay less rake, so I encourage everyone to support poker sites like 888 Poker, that dont overcharge for their tournaments, which in my opinion PokerStars does. I already reached phase 2 of the 7$ tournament, and hope to see some other Cardschat members at the tables
