Strange player flags

I should imagine he refers to one of the latest pokerstars updates cause since that update i have started to see players from Vatican, Liechtenstein (and so on) in our games ...

I guess, it's a good thing I never update my pokerstars client

Are updates not mandatory? At least here, it's not possible to play if you don't have the latest version.

Upon installation PS creates in its folder two .exe files which can load the client: PokerstarsUpdate.exe and Pokerstars.exe.

It's may appear as PS can be loaded only through PokerstarsUpdate.exe, since that's the file which appears on the desktop after installation. When you load the client through it, it will search for updates first. But if you go to the PS folder and find the second .exe file - Pokerstars.exe, then the client will immediately load without checking for any updates.

When the version you use is no longer possible to play on without updating, PS will warn you about it upon logging in (happens once in a couple years).

I see that 888 still not learn how to picture a Hungarian and an Austrian flag. Next to every registered players you can see there flags expect these two nations.

It should be possible to disable Aurora graphics (completely) or at least they should put a lighter version to attend other players. I remember talking about this with the Pokerstars internal team, but i don't think they approved my idea.

Perhaps the idea is to leave poker in the background and prioritize sports betting and the casino.

It’s pretty annoying… I don’t know half of the flags, and there is no other way to figure out where people are from. 🙂
PokerStars needs to redo that... 😊

Yes, they still left Aurora graphics despite a lot of players expressing their disdain in it, even highstakes regs. But I don't really care about it, I have a layout installed, so I forgot what Aurora is long time ago

Havent checked that option since i barely play on computer ...
But then again i have used 888 for like 5 years now and during that time havent made NOT a single update - thank god for their webapp
