I do not recommend playing spin and go, there is a lot variance, you can play HU or sits and go with 6 players, I think it's better.

Spins are very dispersive. You need a strong bankroll and work hard on the game

Spin & Go's are a cardroom casual game. Nobody plays them seriously. They are literally designed for the card room to max out their rake.

You may as well go play blackjack imo.

As you and many others here point out, they aren't taken seriously, hence you typically see a LOT of crazy moves. I played one the other day. The first hand was all-in for the other two players, which is not that unusual. I couldn't believe the terrible hands that they both played. I mean they both had REALLY BAD throw-away hands.

I play them when I only have a few minutes and I use my Stars coins to buy-in. That, by the way is a mistake, since by definition I'm not prepared to spend the time required to play proper poker. So I almost always lose.
