Do you not think that since the expulsion of Russian players, more and more people from Ukraine began to appear? There are plenty of them now. Until two years ago, it was difficult to meet a player from Ukraine. As for me, Russians registered as Ukrainians. Vile fraud.

Everyone spins as best they can, but it’s unlikely that players from Russia will move to Ukraine, since they don’t hate Russians there.

lol I highly doubt they were able to register as anyone else without moving, and especially as Ukrainians. That's just a crazy thought, in my opinion.

Also, I don't know what you'd been playing before, if it was difficult for you to meet a player from Ukraine 😳😳 There have always been plenty of them everywhere. Even here, at Cardschat, when the World Cup Special Event was still being held, Ukraine, unlike any other country (as far as I remember), had its own team. Because they had THAT many players.

There have always been a lot of players from Ukraine on pokerstars, or at least for the past several years. Players are generally required to verify their account, so its not easy to pretend, you live somewhere else, than you actually do. What has actually happened since Russias invasion of Ukraine last year is, that many russians have fled the country to avoid being drafted to the military, and often they went to places like Kazakstan. So when you see a player from Kazakstan, there is a decent chance, its a russian living there. In the same fashion many ukraineans have fled to countries like Poland, so some of the players from Poland and now ukraineans. This include some SnG regs, that I have played with a lot.

Ur "observation" is way off. There have always been a lot of ukranian players on pokerstars and people cant just register randomly from another country without an utility bill that confirms their adress.

But i like the idea. I would register as a jamaican if possible 😉😆🌞

Well, I just can't pass by, so let me express my opinion too:
Firstly, As it was already written above: there have always been a lot of Ukrainian players on this field.

Secondly, many people put the flag of Ukraine on the avatar in support, and this is something that could really attract your attention and because of what, it might seem to you that there have been more of them over the past 1.5 years.

Thirdly, your assumption is absurd, because even if there is some meager percentage of players from Russia trying to play using third-party programs, then why on earth should their imaginary location point be Ukraine????🤦‍♀️ (this is as ridiculous as the assumption of it).
In addition, the overwhelming majority understands that bypassing the system will not end well.

And Fourth, to make unfounded accusations of fraud, supported only by the phrase "As for me ..." is absurd and more despicable, because you are just adding fuel to the fire in a situation that is already very difficult.

What do I think? - as for me, Russian citizens have a place to play and this is a reasonable opinion, since it's no secret on which platforms there really was an increase in players from Russia (And it's not Pokerstars)🙂

I agree with your theory, there are a lot of players from Ukraine, but I think this is a reason because players need to make money in this country and they are moving to poker and there are still many streamers of regular poker players from Ukraine, this also motivates players from this country to register for poker and earn money like other people, but maybe your words are some truth that they move and play from there or change the country who knows

No, russians are not coming to Ukraine. They wouldn't even live here for a week without the protection of bodyguards or protection from government at the official level. I am seriously. Overall Ukrainians hate russians - and that's still very lightly said. I don't want to show negative emotions on the CardsChat forum, but russians should forget about visiting Ukrainian territory for the next 100-200 years. Maybe more. Gallarado correctly said that because of the war in Ukraine there is high unemployment and many people play poker to survive, to earn money for food. But personally I know some russians who play on PokerStars under the Ukrainian flag and are not shy to talk about it and insult Ukrainian players on the table. Russians also use Lithuanian VPN to play poker on PokerStars.

Currently, most russian players play on ggpoker because they have not been banned there.

I wanted to give my opinion on the subject but when reading several of the comments that some have made I see that there is not much I can say that has not already been said hahaha. So I can say that I really liked your comment @Chica_bonita and I agree with your idea.

Now, what is this due to? Does this person dislike that Russians play on PokerStars? For my part, I don't see anything wrong with having players of X nationality, the more the better. Whether they are committing fraud or not will be determined by the room's security team.

Holy crap! I have been having a heck of a time verifying my account at PS and I'm in canada. All the other major sites have accepted the same docs but PS wants more. I cannot see how a Russian would fake Ukrainian unless he actually lived there.

Majority of Russians have registered as Belorussian or Kazakhstan players... top Pros have switched to Cyprus or mexico or other countries that give citizenship easily... But Majority of Russian players have simply moved to GG, iPoker and other networks... look at the MTT guarantees at iPoker network, some of the 3-5K Grtd evolved to 10-20K Grtd. GGpoker network has separate site for CIS players which is GGPokerOK or just PokerOK... SO Russian players keep playing, banning them was a stupid decision, even here at CardsChat... The Question is - How can some regular Ivan from Murmansk who plays online poker after work can be related to War? You must be crazy to think that he's supporting the war and you must be crazy to think that the rake that Ivan makes for PokerStars or his winnings-withdrawals will somehow support the war. It's the same as "Let's ban UK from PokerStars for Brexiting, cause with such political decision they're not part of the "European Family" anymore."

Noone from russia did "register as belorussian or kazakhstan players". Russians might moved there and changed their account details.

Cardschat did NOT ban any russians (lol).

Sites who banned russians did this because they have difficulties paying them without a payment processor. Its not based on moral grounds. Sites who still let them play offer crypto as withdraw option.

How off can u be...
