Robots at 888poker???

Yesterday I was on a live and some people were commenting that 888 has robots from the platform itself Does anyone know if this is true? Well, I had an experience in 888 where I lost 8x in a row and with the only card the villain needed on the river, it also took 5s to show the River card, I thought it was strange What is your opinion?

How would anyone know if they are robots placed there by the site (888) versus robots placed there by someone else? It's a known fact that there are bot (robot) networks that operate in various sites, but I don't think we (the public) will get to know who they belong to.

Regarding the losses, you can't say definitively whether they are normal or not.

Honestly don't know been a number of years since I played 888 but I will say back when I did I had no issues/never came a crossed anything strange/funny. 888 had a good rep and I trusted them and still do fwiw(unless there is real evidence not too). I didn't love the lobby and layout but it wasn't terrible. If I was to rank the top 3 sites when it comes to security and integrity in my 20+ years experience as I would trust them. It'd be in this order: Pokerstar's, 888 and party poker tied for 2nd as I trust them both about the same.

If there something funky going on at 888 it won't hidden for very long that's for sure. Too many very very smart high IQ genius level thinkers and high stakes players eyeballs are on this stuff now days and have been for 15+ years now at least. Not much get's by those people when anything they find could make them millions.

EDIT: Last week, few days ago I was considering depositing $50 on 888 even went got verified. Think I'll wait 1-3 weeks now and see what comes to light on this...

There are many such rumours flowing around about every single poker site out there, but generally they are just rumours. So its not something, I would take to serious to be honest with you

This is just an accident. Why should a site chase cheap money? Now, if this happened at a very expensive tournament, then you could ask the site a question to investigate the incident.

From your story, I think it must be people who don't accept the bad things that happen. I play on 888 because in the country I'm in partypoker doesn't operate anymore so I had to migrate. I never had a problem With them I think Partypoker is number 1. So I still have a lot of doubts about 888 because I've been using it for 1 month.

I've played at 888 for years before spending some time focusing on other sites. Just be careful of cash games and small tournaments (where there are 20 or less players). Keep track of who makes crazy plays and how often they get rewarded for it. Once you identify them (you can use colours and animal labels available in the software) it becomes easier to play.

My first reaction when it comes to any site unless ample hand histories, actual facts are provided and the sites past history is scummy and questionable.....I assume most things are just rumors started by losing players who don't take variance well. These things never stay hidden long if actually true.

In the mean time do keep your eyes open just in case.

Sorry to hear you lost your main playing site that really sucks. Not really sure what I'd do if I wasn't able to play at pokerstars after 20+ years there. I'd be completely lost. I guess I'd likely move to 888 or Party Poker idk. Maybe just play more live casino's only 25-30 mins away so fairly close. Live is just so slow after playing 20+ years online lol.

There are bots in all rooms, but they cannot affect the random number generator. And until anyone proves otherwise I will support poker programming and trust them

Well, I play on all sites and I don't trust ANY of them. haha
That said, the 'sport' we chose has these feats.

I remember one time there were 4 people left for 3 $109 tickets, I was the chipleader. I managed to lose 4 all-in in front and dominating the villain (I drew 3 and I actually lost one).
And finally I had 2 tips and a straightflush draw and got called with a big 6. I said a high 6. The river turned into one of his 3 outs. After that day I told myself that I should accept that poker is rigged and try to take advantage of it in whatever way possible!

I mean, why would you put your ticket in play after playing for hours with a 6 high ?
It doesn't even make sense to the dumbest guy in the world!

Sometimes you get the feeling that some players are playing very strangely and not even logically. But still, I think there are a lot of amateurs and beginners in the room. Some people play ABC poker, while others play for luck. I think the reputation of the room is clean, and a specific player can be checked according to the statistics on sharkscope and see what kind of negative player there is.

This doesn't mean that R2-D2 is there...

Even if you lose 8 times in a row and you play with premium hands and you lose, that does not mean that the robots have taken over 888. Random number generator, all kinds of "bingo" players, a little luck and that's it. Sad but true!

Other player called with QQ and the 64o won after making a straight on the river. Bizarre hand!

This cannot be refuted, nor can it be proved. Play your best game. Thoughts may lead you to believe that bots are against you, but when you play a lot, you realize that with the right game, the result is possible.

I can talk about micros in 888. With robots or not playing these games, the field still one of softies of online poker. So, if you can't win money in these room(in these limits), the true is: you is a bad player. Maybe for someone, it's better to put some ''responsabilty'' of their loses, in something like robots, scam RNG or things like that, than acept the true of their game level.

Thats normal I had a couple of days at each poker room when I was winning incredible hands, several runner-runners in a row. That's poker.

It's hard to prove that there are bots, but if this happens, no one else will play this poker site and forget about it. So poker sites try to keep such topics from themselves and make the game fair, but who knows, maybe there are really bots among us that we don't know
