PokerStars Steps Tickets

Can you use the tickets to enter other tournaments? Or do you have to play all the way through the steps?

You can opt out in step 4 and use it for any $215 tournament.

You can also use lower step tickets into satellites into various events. I know quite a few used Step 2 tickets in lieu of the $27 fee into the WCOOP extreme satellites.
