The human brain has evolved biologically to notice and identify 'patterns'.

That doesn't always necessarily imply such a pattern has any meaning, or is even there at all.

It requires a little more analysis to establish if there is actually any substance or connotation to such patterns as we will see patterns in pretty much anything as a casual, individual observer.

One's perception can very easily be skewed and is fundamentally flawed. I.E. - it is not perfect.

What we perceive as reality is not necessarily reality at all. :)

For example, we are only truly 'seeing' a fraction of what is in front of our eyes, and (unbeknownst to us in realtime) our brains 'paint in the gaps' with what we know, believe or expect to be there.

So even with something as simple as observing the room you are sitting in, your brain is actually fabricating a great deal of what you see.

If we are so beholden to our brains with something as straightforward as observing our immediate physical surroundings, imagine how susceptible we are to bias, skewing and apophenia when viewing reams of complicated, chaotic or random data. :giggle:

I notice there are a lot of players who don't fold anything...

The thing is maybe that player is more active then others, or maybe the ones that folded would have better hands. Sometimes you win 5-6 hands in row, that doesn't mean you have best hands tho :)

There is no such regularity. Analyze at least 1000 hands and you will understand that such a pattern simply does not exist.

winning almost every first and second round is very difficult because the chance is getting smaller and smaller so it's hard to do yes you may be given a couple of aces after a couple of kings and you can win but it will be rare and you can lose even in such a situation you can't guess you just need to play poker right and that's it, whether you're lucky or not, you shouldn't worry much anymore
