Pokerstars new year bash

Like others I got the 3 free tickets in a chest for the new year. One is for the 11 dollar new year bash which was supposed to be running today. I actually registered for this last night then unregistered because I am going to be away when it starts. I intended to late register but now the tournament has vanished. I had the lobby open ready and it then came up tournament closed, even though it hadn't hit half the max players. Is it there for anyone else or have they cancelled it? The ticket is useless for any other game.

The tournament lobby looks normal and still has two hours of late registration, but be aware that if there are 255,000 entries, the late registration will be closed.

The ticket has its own purpose only for the specified tournaments. Maybe the lobby was short of players and canceled? Please note that late check-in is risky. The maximum number of players can be reached and late registration will become unavailable.

I managed to min cash this one by entering at the end of late reg and not actually playing a single hand.
