He had a flush draw and could not be eliminated chasing that flush draw against you. After the flop he had a 37% chance of catching that club.Then after the turn he had a 20% chance of catching that club. Most players would have moved all in after the flop with the 4 to the nut flush. this guy was passive. I would have shoved all in so quick after the flop seeing as I had you covered with no possibility of elimination. And if you had not had AA You would be forced to fold any other hand but AJ KK or QQ. or make a terrible call
