This is sad news for all of us, I don't know what's going on here but I received this mail today :cry:

Following a recent review, residents from Norway will not be able to access our platform from October 26, 2023.
Your player balance remains safe and secure, and you may withdraw your funds at any time.
All entries to poker tournaments that have yet to start will be refunded.
Non-promotional rewards will be converted into cash and added to your balance.

It's over, after more than 20 years pokerstars are history here.

norway not a regulated market as sweden and Denmark are, so I was hoping they would keep us in the same way as other non regulated countries. Since we will not offer a licensed way to play the game I guess they decided to withdraw from the market, just like party poker did 2 years ago.

I guess that leaves us with only crypto sites in the future. GG Poker, 888, Coolbet, ACR and BOL

That's sad news! I was also upset when Natural 8 stopped working for Brazilians. GG is similar to natural... but it doesn't even reach your feet!

Very sorry about PokerStars. I know the feeling.

You mention 888 among rooms that allow crypto. Can you used crypto at 888?

No , but I can transfer crypto to iCard visa, and deposit/withdraw that way.

They never give out a reason, I guess just like Party, it's a business decision. If they are unsure about a market, if it's a grey area etc, they will not take any chances.

Yes changes happens every year it seems like. Well most Norwegian players already moved away from Stars to GG Poker, which is by far the most popular room these days.

But I will miss Stars for sure, and of course all the free value as a Platinum member playing in the freerolls. :(

Sorry to hear that.

Election day today in new zealand. I wait with baited breath.

It looks like the current lot (Centre Left, Labour) will be voted out of power. Even with their potential coalition partners (Greens, etc) will fall short of the required seats.

While it's still to close to call with any certainly, the polls point to the Centre Right (National-Act-NZ First coalition).
The major Party, National (the one I voted for), have said they intend to tighten up on online gambling.
Hence my statement above. "I wait with baited breath".

it's very disappointing to hear this from the coolest pokerstars site and leaving your country, it was sad in my country, but only with 888poker he left Kazakhstan, there's probably no exact answer, but I wrote such a message when I entered the poker site, maybe PokerStars will still return in your country there is still time and times are changing very quickly so let's hope for the best

Hope your wrong, Allan, they are supposedly the party of freedom. I voted for Winston, hopefully he can moderate them.
I have $120 riding on the Irish at a $1.80, go the Green Machine The ABs are at their weakest and the Irish at their strongest, but my sports bets can stop a train.
