I think if you are reaching final tables regularly you will get there, takes a mix of patience and aggression and some luck doesn't hurt!

Apparently, after reaching the final table, you become a very passive player and lose, either you are already afraid or you already think it's enough for you, I think the thoughts in your head do not allow you to pass this threshold

Believe me most users of this forum would like to have a problem like you with the final table. Just getting to this point shows that you have a lot of experience and perhaps you need a little luck then

Many good poker players (I think) solve this in such a way that by the time the final table is reached, they are already chip leaders and this way you can dominate the table and have a good chance of winning. It may be possible to get to the final table less often this way, but there are more chances to get bigger money.
Good luck.

If you don't know how to play a final table, I recommend you practice some time at single-table sit & go games.

VERY interesting...... You have me thinking back to my own progress. I as well struggled once making FT (or the $$ in big games) but over time I progressed to where I am at now. I am not great yet at FT, but I am WAY better than I was and it was all about playing more and more at that level and watching the players at FT. Making notes of how they play different hands, but be careful not to ASSUME what they have in there hands if they don't show, make notes on what you SEE, not what you suspect, or note it as what you have seen and what you suspect, then later on change your notes accordingly. i.e. I SUSPECT XXXXX goes 3 x blind with any A...... then once you have confirmed this change it accordingly.

Generally by the time you get to the final table, you aren't going to be particularly deep stacked, unless you are playing a deep stack tournament or a WCOOP or something. I'm sure you (and all of us) could make some tactical adjustments here and there to improve our chances. I'd review your hands in Holdem Manager or Poker Tracker to try to get an idea of whether or not you are making mistakes.

With the long late registration periods and fast blinds, it's really a pre-flop game in the majority of those tournaments. It causes high variance because you are going to have to get a little lucky and win some flips.

If you cash regularly you don't have to worry about the final table. Have you tried bounty tournaments? You can still win if you miss the bubble.

Reaching a final table is truly no easy task. However, it is not only from his own game, the still necessary game luck as in Coinflips, but also from many other factors. The size of the field of participants, the type of tournament whether freeze-out or rebuy, reentry, speed and so on.
Once you have reached the final table, your own stack size in relation to that of your opponents is also a decisive factor as to how far you can climb up the payjump ladder.
