How often are the Cards Chat Freerolls running and what's the average field size ?
How often do you guys play and it is worth our time ?
Just Wondering ?
Perhaps you could create your own thread on this topic; others might have things to contribute too
As for my answer, I believe it depends on many factors. I'll try to address each question at a time:
How often are CardsChat freerolls running? Enough to be fairly often for some
Obviously, the higher level members get access to more freerolls. The Bronze level (everyone including new members) get access to some freerolls and Silver and Platinum get even more options to choose from. The more you are active in the community with quality posts, then the more you may qualify for.
The biggest problem for me isn't CardsChat freerolls not available - it is where I live. Many Cardschat members play several freerolls a day across many sites! I live in the USA and currently the USA doesn't have many
online poker options. The only site I can play for money (freerolls count as
real money even though the buy-in is free) is ACR and I ONLY use ACR for CardsChat freerolls. I also play PokerStars.net for play-chips but can't join other sites for real money yet. Looks like USA laws are opening up poker in the near future though - I look forward to being able to play more CardsChat freerolls if I can
Average field size? Depends on what level the freeroll is and on what site. For the ones I play in now there are about 150 regular members in Platinum level ACR freerolls and when we get the Bronze, Silver and Platinum level access on the weekends, then there is usually about 300 players. It greatly depends on site and access level though.
A
re freerolls worth your time? Depends. If you are trying to get rich from them, then it isn't worth much - you are not going to make millions playing freerolls. If you use them for practice and experience like I do, then they are certainly worth it - at least the CardsChat freerolls where our members play at a higher quality than a regular freeroll
