So what does everyone thing about the new cardex promotion?

Basically you need to win 5 hands with a specific cards and colour (e.g. a red ace).

Looks like it is replacing the cash game leaderboards, I was a bit sceptical at first but doesnt seem too bad so far as the cards to get were Aces, kings and queens so far so easy enough ( and you can win preflop) only took 275 hands or so and got $2. Looks like you will usually get $1 or $2 with the occasional higher amount ($5k if you get lucky).

I remember years ago getting that same cash game challenge. It must be country or player specific because I do not see that (Im in canada). I have not received a cash game challenge for a very long time. They always involve sports or casino often in combo with poker spin and gos.

What stakes are you playing at to get $2? I am thinking the "poors" at 0.01/0.02 don't typically see that kind of money? I just played Zoom two tables at the lowest stakes and finished this in less than 20 minutes, but all I got was $0.50. I think there is more money in calling down players who are trying to complete this challenge.

As pokerstars was sold to Amae, the decline of this room began. There are essentially no shares, and no good rakeback either.

This was at 25NL. I thought that was the min stakes of the promotion, but maybe not. $2 = 8bb which was about 3bb/100 rakeback ( plus chests and challenge) so I thought reasonable.

$0.5 at 2NL is 25bb so very good!

I would just play your normal game and not worry too much about it, as you dont know what cards people might be 'chasing'

Typically don't bother, play or go outta my way to play any of their promotions. Don't really see a point as I've always been a winning player without any of them promotions and gimmicks. All they do is make/force you to play non optimal money winning poker. You don't need any of them promotions/gimmicks to be a winning player long term.

I do use up their path tickets though. All-in first hand any two cards. Unless I actually roll a good prize to play for. Never have yet so all-in any two cards it is.

To each their own though.

Cheers!!!

Yeah you dont need to go out of your way, all I did was click opt in and play my usual cash games in the normal way. It's just free money. Of course if you are finishing your session and have one card to go then maybe it might be worth varying your game.

In general I wouldn't chase these things either, but worth taking what they give when its minimal effort. I'm always amazed when I watch the likes of Steffan sontheimer streaming 500z and in the corner he has never opted in to the cash game leaderboards - it's just one click and they give you free money!!

That's pretty much what it is. Just a background challenge that completes itself, although I find it also helps me avoid marginal situations better as well when I don't have one of the cards that I am looking to win with.

Meanwhile I am seeing quite a few players taking very creative lines to try to win, so just basic ABC poker plus patience is going a long way. Two $0.50 prizes so far which is like some rakeback I guess.

I did do the the leaderboard one. But honestly never got anywhere on the leaderboards. Don't think my style of play which has won for me now for the last 20 some years doesn't score enough points. And I didn't got the time daily to max out my chances *shrugs*. My life is a story of having to do things always the hard way lmao.

Cheers!!!

I have stopped playing cash games . Zoom or fast forward I will play very rarely nowadays only for fun . I will not try more playing because of this promotion or challenge. It doesn't worth the time or money . I play at the micros .

That's quick! I play regular 9max tables socit has been taking a bit longer, about 400 hands/2hrs the last day or so but that's a typical session for me anyway. Won $2 both time (8bb), not bad

Feels like almost a waste of time 'BUT' it actually seems to be drawing out some more donkeys who might not normally play there. (you know, the 60bb stacks who like to limp in 1/2 the pots. So in this regard it is a good promo)

It's pretty good on Zoom. I've been consistently finishing it in about 20 minutes on two tables at a time. 0.01/0.02 is fairly easy to do. I might try the next level up just to see if the prizes are better.

Only 9 minutes on 0.02/0.05 Zoom, 86 hands, just to get $0.50 for the bonus. It must not scale equally at the lower buy-ins. Oh well, at least it was over quickly.

Well, at least some promos have started to appear. Maybe they wanted to regain their leadership?:)

I've only been getting 0.20, 0.50 on 10nl tables. It does seem to be bringing out more players though. Always a good thing.

So this looks like different players likely just get different Cardex promotion offers dropped to their accounts depending on what limits they normally play at. I only get the one with the lowest prizes set at $0.20 and $0.50 as well.

Exactly this, on my promotion only hands at 25NL and above are counted, so my prizes are based on playing 25NL
