PokerStars Badges?

What are pokerstars Badges? Does anyone know?

When Pokerstars had their most recent update on my computer, I now have a little icon near the upper-right of my avatar at the table. I also only see it on mine, but don't see any badges for any of the opponents. What are these badges and what are they used for?

at the last few lines , it is written that some selected market will be trying a new prestige system in the upcoming months but they dont disclose more about it , maybe you are part of that targeted market

No badge yet,,,they give out badges for winning a tournament like the Sunday Million or Sunday Storm,,,

Sure, here is what I'm asking about I don't know how to add arrows or drawing onto the screenshot, but it is the little clear icon to the upper-right of my prp that PokerStars calls "badges."

The first screenshot is how it looks when the table opens and the second screenshot is how it looks once I click this "badge." No idea what it is for lol

Okay cool, but why would you then want to display any badge? Ego? Even if you "win" a badge somehow, do you really want to be flaunting it around? Isn't this just scaring away the fish by showing them the fishing net?

Looks like I got one too. I was a chatting with Muckutoo68 at the table and he has one as well but we can't see each other's.

If you click the individual badges, you will see that they are for such achievements as winning a Sunday Million, winning a SCOOP, winning a Sunday Storm, etc. I would be very surprised to see a badge show up at one of our CC tables.

Lol, true. I thought mine was a badge but I've only ever won MUCH smaller events

Let me try updating the screenshots with this different method to see if it displays correctly now...fingers crossed...

Well I have got the same icon just near my avatar but I never won one of the events on the list you can see when you click on the icon.
So It seems It is only a technical possibility for certain players to show their eventual achievements.
I never won any big event on Pokerstars where I am a new player and I have got this icon
