There is a problem with the freerolls on this site though. Most of them require Frequent Player Points. That means you arent really playing for free. Also, the freerolls that are FREE and dont require FPP have like 30000000 people in them. Just my opinion.

I agree about the freerolls for FPP not realy being free. I play alot of the freerolls at pacific poker. They have daily freerolls for cash, seats in 30000 gar turnys, satilites to 100k and 250k weekly tournys. Great site in my opinion

Ahhh you won't see freerolls listed in Pacific's tournament schedule until an hour or so before they start. They are unique in that they do not announce their freerolls until registration starts. Good luck getting into them they intentionally change the times up so you have to just get lucky and be logged in when one pops up in the tournament schedule.

Maybe its just me, but it really seems like the turns and rivers on free games at PS are completely BS. Suckouts EVERYWHERE! Move to real money, and that seems to go away. I know that sounds ridiculous, but it sure seems like it

First of all, Zack864, there are only a handful of freerolls on Pokerstars each week that require FPP's (Frequent Player Points). By a handful I mean like 2 or 3.

The vast majority of "freerolls" on Pokerstars are called FreePlays and charge Play Money Chips as the buy-in. You start with 1000 play money chips and the usual entry fee for these FreePlays is 300+20 or 2000+100. These tournaments award play money chips as their payout.

The actual freerolls on Pokerstars:

The final table (8 or 9) players from these freerolls make it to another tournament that has a cash prize pool.

The average # of players in a freeroll is 1500-6000 depending on the type of freeroll.

In my opinion, PokerStars has the BEST (and most comprehensive) play money system on the internet. If you are looking to play every once in a while for fun or want to practice you rpoker skills, I would recommend PokerStars. They even have play money sit-n-gos with 9-45 entrants with buy-ins ranging from 300-25000 in play chips!

in my opinion i find full tilt to be a really good site, their freerolls may be at odd times in the day (1:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.) but only 900 people in each free roll and they are held 2 dialy.

also im kind of new to the online poker scene, i am just wondering what "vc" stands for

PokerStars has the best tournament system around, so if you like playing for real money in both cash games and tournaments, there is a huge selection of games for you.

Multi-table tournaments have buy-ins from $1-$530

Sit-n-Gos range from buyins at $5.50-$1030

Heads up sit-n-gos range from $5.25-$5100

Hold'em cash tables start at .01/.02 for NL and .02/.04 for limit and go up to 10/20 for NL and 100/200 for limit

Omaha / Omaha H/L tables start at .01/.02 and go to 15/30 and 75/150

Stud tables start at .04/.08 and go to 30/60.
