My poker playing goes through cycles. Although I still play most days, I'm finding that I'm losing the motivation to keep playing on poker stars.
Many of the things I liked about poker stars is eroding.

Challeges seem to be going away. Sure there are a couple, but not very motivating at all. Sure I play lots of power path games. Ita decent. But that's pretty much it. I haven't seen a challenge for a throwable in months. It was a sure fire moneymaker for stars. I'd always go complete the chanllenges to get the throwables.

I'm not sure if its just me, but I don't seemt to be earning star coins as before either...which then impacts on me playing the deal or getting things from the shop (I do like my Stars plastic playing cards...I do not like the coffee thermos/mug...lit is cheap, plastic inside!)

Weekly challenges have been removed from the 2024 rewards program.
They say that rakeback up to 60% is possible...but honestly this is only relevant to mid and high stakes players (Select+)
Seems that stars has lost its affection for players of the micros.

It now takes more points to get a chest. We're told that we now get better rewards...but as a micro player, it's pretty much bog standard 50 cents each time.

The site refers to this:

Daily Power Path Tickets for Recreational Players

With the 2024 pokerstars Rewards program, even completely recreational players get to enjoy a fair bit of rewards. Namely, all players in the Bronze and Blue tiers receive a $.50 Power Path ticket every day they log into their accounts.

This equates to $15+ worth of rewards that players can claim regardless of how much or how little they rake. Players can use these Power Path tickets to start their journey towards winning entries into bigger online and live tournaments.

These tickets are issued on a daily basis, on top of any rewards that players in these two tiers manage to unlock along the way.

...I don't think this is accurate. It is not simply visiting the siote that grants the powerPath ticket, but playing a game that generates rake opver a threshhold.

More about the rewards programme can be found HERE: https://pokerfuse.com/online-poker/international/pokerstars-rewards/

What do you think about the programme?
Is it an improvement in clarity for you?
Does it motivate you more than the 2023 rewards programme?
What do you like about what Stars has done over the years with the requesrds programme?

Thanks,
JT

Everything eventually gets boring, maybe take a break from poker for a month, then come back with fresh energy and everything will be fine!

Correct , since I stopped playing poker at PS , I also stopped receiving the 0.5$ PP Ticket

Not at all. im with you

The only things I still like at PS are some of their casinogames and their superfast withdrawal system. ..in that regards GG is in sloth-mode

Just play a flash 0.25 cent spin if u want the cheapest and quickest way into that ticket.

I dont get the complaints, u can basically play there for 0.75 $ with only 0.25 $ spent of ur own money everyday. And with a bit of luck u can get ur shot @ the sunday million.

Not everything is "4 free" in life guys 😉

I actually found it almost liberating, when I moved to sweden, where regulated sites like PokerStars and 888 Poker are not allowed to offer incentives. Since then I only have to focus on the games, I want to play, and not on "hand of the day challenges", weekly freerolls, tickets for 10c SnGs or other distractions. I would honestly rather have a lower rake than any of this back :)

That's right, JT! PokerStars doesn't give out $0.50 PowerPath tickets for free. You have to earn them during the game and only with real money. They do not award PowerPath tickets for tournament tickets usage. What am I thinking about this new loyalty program? I even created a thread on our forum where I wrote that I am very dissatisfied that even at the lowest level (Blue Box) experience points burn out after 28 days. :(

This would be the best for almost all of course. But people like their little "gifts". Even if they have to pay for them.

But the fact that they took away bonuses for sports betting was tough. That was free money. Or at least a substantial amount of money with very little work.

Poker Stars rewards program has never been the same since they stopped having Bronze, Gold, Platinum etc,
At least then you could see that you were progressing, but really these days the rewards programs on any
site, apart from the odd promotion, are not worth bothering about for the average player.
