I mainly do $2-3 tournaments and I was planning to go into a sunday two hundred grand one time this xmas but I'll do this instead. with 150k overlay (even if it fills up) sounds like a good deal to me.

Here is an idea for those like me that have a BR that is too small for this event. I am just going to try to satellite into the Sunday 200k and then unregister from it and use $T on this event.

Obviously trying more than once or twice would be a waste of money, but might as well give it a shot. Just a thought.

See you guys the 28th!

Bumping this to keep it current...might even sticky it for giggles. Could be interesting to get a large CC contingent to play this and see how deep we can get how many people. Might be fun. :)

In fact, I went ahead and registered now just in case. I tend to forget about things like this and with my luck I'd remember the day of and find registration full and closed. I can unregister until 10 minutes before hand, so registering is better for me at least.

Same here, I registered now. Good deal, this should be fun. Let's see how many CC we can get in this. :icon_thum

As there's some people playing above their rolls I'll ship $11 to the highest placed CC finisher outside the money.

Thanks, Rex. :)

I gave up playing the Sunday $200k because of poor results, and I really don't like the current payout structure.

But I'll be playing in this one. Already won a seat on the $200k and unregistered so I could play this one. And for anyone wondering if they'll be close to the 35,000, take a look at the event. Still 10 days away, and there's over 4,000 registered already!

Here's hoping that a CC player makes it to the final table.

The main reason to get excited about this is the $150,000 overlay and that's a minimum overlay, could be more if they don't get 35,000 entrants since the $500,000 is guaranteed.

You find me any $11 tournament on any site with a $150,000 overlay and I'll deposit on the site just to play in it.

I think they should take the winner's (mine) picture and put that with the record in the Guiness book.

Like others I've already registered, I don't want to miss it.

The only problem is how long do you suppose it's going to take to get to final table? 6 hours? 10 hours? It's not a turbo so it's going to be a LONG long time. Better get your butt in condition.

Sorry about the other thread, I didn't even see this one on here. The lesson...well, you knew already. ;) Anyway, like I said, I made a $50 deposit just to play in this tournament. Not sure what I'll do with the remaining money though - I'm used to higher buy-ins now than the $1-2 tourneys I'd have to play on that roll. Guess I'll just have to win the thing and solve the dilemma that way.

I'm sure this thing will fill up too. They are up to 11.5k entries already with 4.5 days left.

It's above my normal BR limitations, but this is too good to pass up. Merry Christmas to me .... :icon_sant ... I'm in and there's already almost 12,500 registered.

Biggest donkfest ever, no DOUBT! Besides it being 10 seat, take a look at the blind structure. It's quite different than the usual 10 minute ones for Stars. First hour will be ending at 40/80 and hour two (level 7) will start at 50/100 but antes start kicking in at 10. It's also a deep stack with 3,000 starting chips.

Don't have a big BR? There are hundreds of satellites, MTT's and SnG's running 24/7 for FPP points and low buy-ins ($1.10 and 2.20).

If there are any seats still open by then , starting 12/28 AM they will offer some really low buy-in MTT qualifiers. I saw some at 11cents, 22c, 33c, 44c and 55c, all with NO RAKE. Check the full satellite listings from the tourney lobby.

The Guinness World Record tourney number is: 126551369
12/28/08, starts at 15:30 ET.

Saw some comments elsewhere about Stars raising the max allowed entries by start time. So far, the 'unofficial' word is that anything above 35,000 entries would be too risky in causing a system crash and is not being considered. Besides, they will more than make up their overlay with all the satellites, the millions of FPP's being cleared from the books before year's end, and the resulting publicity - priceless.

I'm in - and my 40,000 cup coffe pot is primed and ready ...

Wow that's a great tournament, but in my opinon there is to less money in the price pool! But you have to get under the first 100 that it was worth to play this tournament and that's very difficult by 35,000 players.

Tried to satty in on the 10 man 70FPP tourney, but got busted in 4th when my AK went up against QJ and lost, so looks like I'm not going to be playing :(
However, if there are the low buy in MTTs that nevadanick was talking about then I'll definitely have a shot at it. It'd be great to play and like others have said, should be a donkfest :)

It would be cool to play in a world record tournament by # of registrants, but since this has a guaranteed overlay, I hope less people sign up because the prize pool is not gonna change. So everyone stop promoting it!

The CC bubble-boy if you like :)

Thanks, as my current tournament play goes, I think I have a shot at this ;)

My question is, would you rather go in the money on this one (say finishing 8k), or would you rather be the first one to bust.

Being the first to go out in the largest online tournament might get some recognition.....
