I got up this morning and went on poker stars just to watch some real money heads up. I found a game where the buy in was 5000 and something. I dont know about you but risking that much on one heads up game. I was like holy shit. I just think its kinda odd to wager that much on one game. What do u guys think?

totally normal for anyone who knows how to play this type of game!
1st he must have a bankroll management, and to play in that he has a great BR.
The second heads-up game leaves the game more technical, so the one that dedicates more to the study, and knows how to apply, all the concepts in this game, it has a success.
The 3rd value at this level of play does not matter much, these are the players who have a different thinking about money, whether they have it or not, because their lives make the other sense of money ....

Note: Gabriel Goffi played the biggest online poker buy-in, but before he went to this level, he lost a lot of money ... he lost $ 300,000 in a month, when he got last buy in, in the middle that I destroyed in the game, more when I went to the higher limetes, I lost and a lot of money ... more satisfied in reaching the middle limete, he was behind the study, not of the game and yes Psychologist, hired a Coach, who followed his day to day .. and even when he played ... to summarize .. The Coach of this, you do not feel at ease in this buying up, because you care about the value that is playing, and in half limete both for you, after that he was 900,000 positive in the last limits of poker, He was among the best in the world when I played ..

I'd love to have the roll for them stakes , imagine the adrenaline for every one of them matches has to be crazy:D after all this guys either making a living out of it and they try to make the most out in the shortest time with the lowest nr of players they have to face , or they just have the money and play for the thrill of it , has to be great tho :)

Different structure than MTT. Cash game money does not go far while MTT money is exponential. The full tilt poker days with Isildur1 on the "Rail Heaven" table were the greatest they have them up on youtube.

Of course since the scenario described in OP is THIRTEEN AND A HALF YEARS OLD, I think it is necessary to put yourself in those times to properly respond to the question. US citizens are playing online poker, GW Bush is the President of the US, the economy is booming, anyone can get a mortgage with an application written on a ****tail napkin, etc, etc. Although I'm sure that there are still high stakes games on pokerstars, the number has likely decreased significantly, along with their player pool,

EDIT: LOL at c o c k tail napkin censor! Some shit never changes!

I think if your bankrool supports it's completely normal to play in these clear limits this is for the few not going to commit any madness with a money that you do not have they have enough money to play in these limits
