I am quite hard to take notes ... I play at low limits and not having much need to do so ... I would like to know how to take notes, how to detect each style of the rival's game and whether it can be in cash or tournament. thanks greetings

Most see that he does not use notes, or am I wrong? If someone does, it would give me a basic guide on how to identify players.

I have stopped taking notes. The problem with notes is, they are usually based on, what you saw someone do in a single hand. Which does not always tell a lot about, what they are going to do in future hands. I found, I was rarely using my notes for anything, so it was mostly a waste of time. Instead I use my HUD when appropriate.

Sometimes I make notes about players. And not to waste time writing, I just notice the players in the right color. Usually, I notice aggressive and often bluffing players.

Tags are not the same as notes. I put tags on everyone, when my sample is large enough. Makes it easier for me to visualize, what kind of table, I am on. And for cash games, if I still want to be there.

Yellow = fish
Orange = semi-loose passive
Blue = loose aggressive
Grey = tight

I base this mainly on preflop stats from my HUD.

I'm not currently using a HUD, I had a free trial of PT4 & it automatically applied player notes which I found invaluable as a new player. (I'm playing micro stakes also.)

My notes were a mess before the trial, now they look more like the notes the HUD creates:

[P] preflop
[F] flop
[T] turn
[R] river
[?] random notes - double barreling & check folding river a lot.

[P] open limp UTG: J6o, call all in 50BB.
[f] donks multiway with worse than top pair
[t] bet turn draw aggressively (x3 pot).

I will be investing in a HUD as soon as possible. The trial I had made notes automatically & I found them useful, educational even, as a beginner. + I'll understand/make better use of the statistics now.

Until then, I find colour coding players useful: TAG's red, maniacs green etc. :eek:
