I find it hard to judge a site based on freerolls..

I play cash games on bodog and find that many people probably know less about Poker than I do.

I'm a newbie so that's saying a lot.

I've played their freerolls and the play is ok. Play for real money and the play changes. It is computer generated programs these online sites and are in some cases pulled/geared toward house or long time players. I had the same thing happen but not just at Bo dog, it happens everywhere and happens often. Play home games if you can, it's not computer generated. Play online for the fun of playing and bank on more than your fair share of bad beats.

I know what tinman means. Seems like the more outs you have the less likely you are to get one. It's the ones that play the 2/3 like you said that seem to get that magic card so often. If I sit there long enough I can predict some of the cards that are going to be flopped just by what ever the chosen seat has in his hand. I'm sure I'm going to get alot of you saying well just don't play and alot crap like that. Try to remember this is a site to voice different opinions instead of jumping on someone you don't agree with. I like to play and these sites are about my only option since I don't live close to any casinos or have alot of friends who like to play. So please keep that in mind when and if you reply to this. I know there are 2 or 3 people that always have something nasty to say when I write something they don't like or agree with.

All sites have thier fair share of donks and donk plays. They seem to be everywhere you go.thats part of online poker.I've been hearing tjis Bodog rumor for awhile now.About them possibly shutting down the american market for the US players. There are a few good threads on here about it.One is were one of the Gov't agencies caught one of Bodog's money handlers. Some finacial company that handles some of thier funds got in trouble. They took like twenty million from them. That shouldn't stop Bodog from still operating. They generate enough to cover that easy.If someone hear's anything else about Bodog feel free to drop me a line and fill me in.

well I think

I made a cashout request on July 29 for $600. Although, I never altered anything Bodog's system kept cancelling my request despite the balance resting comfortably above $1,000. This Bullshit kept going on for a week. I called customer service whom assured me that it was a glitch in their system and my payout would be processed promptly. It was finally approved on Aug 7 after several requests for a copy of the credit card used and my ID.

I have played at Bodog for 4 years and have not changed address nor had any account irregularities not to mention over a dozen successful payouts so I found it retarded that they suddenly wanted a copy of my ID for the 50th time.

Now it is mid-September and I am still waiting for my check. But Bodog assures me it is coming...Yeah and so is X-Mas. They will never see another dime of my money. EVER!!!!

bodog is the 1st site i started playing and actually learned to play poker i have cashed in the tourny numerous times best is 3rd yes there is a alot of donks but as we all talk about that is exactly what u want and need.Dont let one or two bad freerolls get you discouraged becuz honestly there is numerous of donks in every single freeroll at every single site. The only problem i have with bodog is the lag they have worked on it it is a little bit better now but at 1st it was so horrbile it was folding my hands when i had no intention on folding. But again just give it time and play your best you should be alright.

I've noticed the lag too. Like you said its not as bad as it was but it still shows up from time to time. Sometimes I will hit the fold or call button and it will lag for a few seconds...Other than that I havent noticed anything else wrong with the software.

Imagine going to Vegas where you have a multitude of rooms to play at. Each with it's own ambiance. Different tables, different chairs, different chips.

The ambiance at bodog is cheap IMO. Like stackable chairs, the temperature is too cold, and the drinks are clearly watered down. It is an uncomfortable table to sit at in that sense.

Part of that experience has to do with the creature comforts, and it is comparative in nature. Compared to that 'ambiance' at Tilt, or Stars, or even UB, bodog lacks big time.

When I want the lobby, I don't want a menu of lobbies, I want the lobby for the tourney I am playing.

When I want a Hand History I don't want to 'need' an interpreter.

If I want to give my buddy some of MY money, I don't want to have to clear out my account to do so. And even if I do want to clear out my account, apparently I need the head hancho's permission, and he seems to always be on vacation.

While my analogies may be a bit absurd, they are valid. The feel of a bodog table is not good. It is a whole lot better than it used to be, but it has a long long way to go.

FWIW, I don't find the talent at any site much different than at any other site, so I ignore all the poor player comments.

I don't consider bodog to be one of my main sites and these are a few of the reasons.
