There is a freeroll at AP for all residents of NY and CA. It says invite only but I think if you're a resident you are automatically invited.

Tourney number 1562140
Thursday 5/17 at 2200 EST

Just thought people might like to know.

Thanks for the info! Found this in my inbox from Absolute:

As part of Absolute Poker’s continuing drive to offer you the best service out there, we think we’ve got something you just might like.
New York ‘V’ California. Thursday 17th May 10:00pm ET. (Freeroll!)
That’s right! Here at Absolute Poker we thought we’d invite the fine people of New York and California to the tables and give them the chance to take each other on, and take each other out!
This is a Freeroll with a prize pool of $200 and you are already pre-registered. So login, click on the freerolls tab and take your seat.
Play for your State, Play with pride, Just play.
This is a restricted tournament, only for players from the above two states.
Good luck and see you at the tables.
The team at Absolute Poker.

Edit: Just realized I won't be home when this gets going, and won't be back in time. :/ So, good luck to anyone else who plays.

Ah HA!, a bit of revenge for that 13 gazillion dollar freeroll bonanza we can't play in!

Caution!!!! Though it might say you are already registered, it is just like that WSOOF tourney a few weeks ago, you HAVE TO ACTUALLY REGISTER.

This is so nice for me. Born in Cali, then I went to NYC for college, I think I signed up on AP when I was still living in NYC, so I'm signed up as living in NYC instead of Las Vegas or Cali. Guess that means I'll be playing for NYC if I do play, even though I havn't played a freeroll in a while now. Maybe I'll signup and see, I might be there, just don't know exactly which side I'd be rooting for.

Gotta love the 0.9% getting paid. I think I'm glad I went out 2001 of 2015 (2nd hand:Q2 flopped 2 pair vs my KK). I'd be pretty ticked if I played for 4 hours and went out 20th for $0.
