2 days ago I made my first deposit after finding the site here on CardsChat listed in the top 5 recommended sites for TRUSTED SITES.

Now, in all honesty, I played the playmoney tables and Freeplay tourneys for 6 weeks before depositing on the site. (((which seems to have a min $6 visa deposit fee? woohoo baby)))
I then spent the next 6 weeks, before depositing the cash, cruising the CardsChat forums, ((shudduh listened harder I guess)) and several other forums and reviews online. Then..made my deposit 2 days ago...and NOW THE SITE'S DOWN ALLDAY. Yep.

SO....I decided to dig a bit deeper.....spent a little over 1/2 hour with live chat because I couldn't log in.........spent a couple hours digging online about the site, found good and bad reviews......found out Oslo norway had a HUGE POKER RAID yesterday, a day before the Chico network locks up,...(probly not related, just something I found)...

AND.... I found this cute little video of a player that screenshot videoed the table he was playing on as BOL cheated players out of their money.

Site down all day.
I spent over 30 minutes on live chat and was told goodbye after posting a follow up question about a tourney Ticket I was waiting on. (could've been a "thought yuh wuz done thing)..who knows.

BetOnline Site has been down allday, with not twitter or Facebook updates on reasoning. I for one would think they site would at a minimum keep posting "sorry..we're trying". lol
Like I said, I spent over 30 minutes with them around 7pm central time USA, questioning them not only on the site being down..but also about money lost in crashed cash games. They skirted the issue on every single question for the most part, even once posting a copy of their "it's not our fault" contract clause. I don't know if that means money lost is money lost or not. They NEVER would directly answer the questions. Every answer was a shroud of generic response, most assuredly intended to not answer the questions directly at all costs...even "customers" (aka players) frustration in the obtaining direct answers.

Just wanting to add SITE DOWN date to this thread just for logging it for anyone reading the thread because of a word search.

Or anyone considering putting money on the site.

I personally just deposited for the first time 2 days ago after playing freerolls for 6 weeks to check the site out. I downloaded the poker both Mobile and Desktop back in January after reading it was a US Player friendly site here on Cardschat.
I'll keep playing the site when it's back up...for a bit and see what happens.

As far as a rigged site.....
seems legit to me so far. But...I don't play alot of ALLIN PREFLOP POCKET ACE hands either. More pointedly...I'll tend to fold one FAST deep in the tourney after 1st break.

even i experienced the same on BOL. i spoke to one of their customer service rep on live chat and was told the site was down due to technical issues and that it would resume service properly on saturday. again on saturday i tried but it dint work as well and took me a very long time to login. i think they have lot of excess load during the weekends and due to this the site crashes. i was once in the middle of a tourney and was 8th out of 16. then the site crashed and took me over 10mins to log back in. by the time i logged in i was 15/15 and had lost 3/4 of my stack due to the high blinds. eventually i lost just shy of payout...11th...and i spoke to live chat rep and they said they will email me and i should get atleast my buyin back....but i dint get an email and lost $30+ in buyin on that tourney. not to mention the possibility of the winning i would have made if the site dint crash.

There has to be some type of return in such cases and its not fair to the player who is not at any fault of his own.

I went to go to the tables at 3:14pm Cntrl time USA and the Mobile site was down, and my Desktop was down again too. They had both been up all day till then. Just before tourney time.


Live Chat did tell me (had to find a backdoor just to get to Live Chat)....they could TAKE DEPOSITS through Live Chat.....but COULD NOT process payouts through Live Chat.
(among other answers I got to other questions..)

I've got the chat session on my phone recorder...if anyone's interested I'll attempt to post the vid here.
Not being that familiar with CardsChat yet, I'd have to figure out how to do it.
(on my laptop right now...fighting to get one of the poker platforms to open before the tourney)

I hope they offer something to compensate for huge frustration and to reinforce the confidence I'm trying to maintain in them.
I quit playing after "Black Friday" and a c0-worker told me about the site so I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt for the time being. It's been 10 years..another day or 2 is tolerable for now. I don't have a huge bankroll on the site, I only deposited the min to check it out 4 days ago. Haven't been able to play for 3 days now. ((ouch!!))


Maybe a "March Madness ShutDown FreeRoll" would be in order. uke:

the back door u used to get live chat was simply going to their dot com site which i also did. Since their live chat option could not be accessed from their various desktop or tablet version, i did the same thing in desperation.

i havnt been able to deposit since past week and everytime i speak to their twitter rep dave mason, i am told to leave my username and he will DM with answers or a solution. None of them have been given and its getting alarming how many times their site has gone down in the past 2 months. this time its not even been possible to deposit unless u give your CC info to their live chat ..tht also through theyre dot com site so later if there is fraud they can easily say "why did u use our .com site when we have mentioned everywhere to only use .ag site"

tbh BOL has become into an old con joke and im v sorry to say this and i could be wrong and i truly hope im wrong, but its just a ponzi scheme to me with software being manipulated to keep just the right players happy and the rest are just getting screwed royally.


forget the b2b runner runner badbeats, forget all the red flags with accounts in panama, forget tht their non toll free number doesn't even work...whats most serious is their current reaction n expalantion has put my spidey sense in full tingling action and jokes aside i want to be wrong but this site reminds me of the poker sites in mid 2000s when majority got into trouble for fraud n transparency issues.


I honestly feel im wasting my money depositing into BOL but i have no other option atm...as other poker sites US n Canadian friendly dont have the same amount of tourneys or cash games. unless im wrong and other sites have as many options as BOL and its sister site Tiger Gaming.


I strongly feel they use the same old ruse which is let u win a bit intially and once u start depositing u will end up loosing it all. its happened with me exactly the same way over 10 various deposits on BOL.


Now the only reason i maintain the account is because i love poker and there is not always a game happening where i live. Also i enjoy playing the CChat Freeroll and its one of my main reason i still use BOL.


thus unless i see a change in the software towards more realistic plays and supposed randomness in the hands etcs....i dont think i will be with BOL for much longer. You can ignore it once, twice, few times...but when your brain is telling u something is wrong and this is not how poker should be then u have to listen, regardless of how inconvenient it will become with another site.


For those of u who will now say we play more hands online and thus badbeats are more common etc. plz i have heard it all and im not a sore looser at all. my most basic common sense strongly tells me something is wrong even when i was winning in the beginning..it was just to easy and not possible to get b2b str8s n flushes like i was ... once my deposits became more frequent n higher then it started becoming a repeat of full tilt n pokerstars in the mid 2000s.


In conclusion...i hope im wrong and if not...then i hope it becomes better as we all love to play poker and this manipulation just spoils my love for the game. In the end ill continue playing online...just elsewhere.



PS: I have read all the posts on BOL in this forum and after taking every1s stories into account and my own have i written this. for all those who dont believe...do ure own research...so your hand history and if u think its as natural as live poker then great. in no way am i saying that what i have written above is the truth. This is what i personally beleive and everyone is entitled to their own opinions. Thanks

Real diff between Tiger Gaming & BOL

I know both are sister companies, but why do they have two different poker sites running on one network ?

i know one reason is to cater to non-us markets ... but does anyone what are the other reasons ?? or differences between the two? as in certain rules, regulations etc ?


I know they cant take any US wagers unlike BOL. I know their interface n games/tourneys are identical ... so anything else ?

Hey guys, at the risk of potentially beating a dead horse, I had some questions dealing with Bet Online.

So I've been playing a fair amount of microstakes and have noticed some aspects which I personally have mixed feelings about.

First and foremost, I believe that "rigging" online poker really makes no sense, when you are not playing against the house but rather with other human players.

But with this said have seen really odd scenarios pop up frequently and almost predictable depending on the scenario at hand.

Whether its how the RNG operates in dealing, pre-flop, or post-flop, there almost seems to be pre-anticipated actions that I have never seen at for example (poker stars).

With so many hands, bad beats in any manner are bound to happen, thats inevitable. However, in Bet Online I can almost tell when they are going to happen. I understand we tend to remember the bad beats and not the other side, but even with that.... Something just feels.... Off.

Btw I notice it in the cash games. Tournaments don't seem to have that vibe compared to cash games.

In just wondering if anyone has anything to contribute in this discrepancy of mine.
Again, I understand it really makes no sense at all.

I played and won $3000. They make you wait 7 days to cash out and I did. On my 7th day their payout page stopped working. It’s been down for a week. Very odd it’s the time I am about to cash out. 5 days later still can’t cash out. I emailed them they told me to play poker it’s getting fixed. DONT trust this company. They figure out ways to make you keep your money in the computer, so you can’t cash out! I was so proud that I did So well and I can’t even get my winnings. Be carful please!

I'm personally in a circling pattern on BetOnline for a while.
I've gotten what I think are blanket, mass-mailing. emails from them (finally) 2 days this week...appologizing for the problems on the site, that site's safe, yadda yadda yadda.
I'm sure they're fighting hard to secure up the sight. It's been all over the poker internet for weeks. Initially...not in ANY forums...I actually had to go on a rabbit hunt on the internet to discover anything concerning BetOnline / Sportsbook being down.
Even with ALL THE CHATTER and concern by players in SEVERAL "poker forum" sites...not a single MOD addressed the distress of their forum members.
I had found out..after digging online for 2 days...the site had been attacked. I only found that out after chasing down well "hidden in plain sight" Affiliates of BOL.
Seriously..2 days digging through it all.

NOW..with all that said......BOL's site wasn't the only online poker site hit.

AND...after I discovered the Oslo raid.. while doing all that digging...I'm still open to believing that BOL's network attack is just a small part of a very big IA attack worldwide.
It's all out there in the inter-nether-realm...if one spends the time to research it.

The MOST VALUABLE information I've GAINED...over the last 3 weeks on all this IS... not a single "Poker Forum" addressed the problem for weeks, while knowing all the chatter inside their forums.
All..while giving BOL, or maintaining BOL's, "TRUSTED" status on their forum sites we trust pages. 4 forums I visit..anyways.
The forums never posted a warning, temporary or other, about the sites attacked.

They did however...post news on it..weeks after the fact, while still not chiming in with their own forum members in the discussions, or posting warning threads.

Bottem line...money makes decisions in big business.

Poker sites, be they online poker, or forums...are BIG BUSINESS.
Only a naive, or ignorant person, would not know...that affiliates make money directing traffic to poker sites, and maintaining ownership of those players.

As far as BOL goes....I'm 2 months new, after 11 years off, to online real money poker.
The ONLY thing that's changed about it, in my limited, wee wittle, under edcuated, random mind..is...the number of players using software to play,.....and my user name.
So..I'll just wait..let them get the kinks out the network..and play till it happens again.
Truth is BOL has a pretty decent site, with pretty decent user interface, that's pretty decent in helping to play on the site..and know who you're playing against.
(advice..learn to navigate ALL the features..and USE USE USE..live chat for learning the ins and outs)

AS A SIDE NOTE....
PokerStars has, hands down!, the best security out there because they have vested interest in becoming THE online site of the world in the future.
They got hit too.


I'm not worried about BOL closing it's doors or my funds going the "FullTilt route"....their SportsBet alone is confidence enough for me in that. They have too much vested.


Folks can go anywhere and play free play, or freerolls, ...but every site out there is ...wide open vunerable!
Just like it was in 2006 and earlier.

BOT's ARE..playing online poker.
Only a fool or the uninformed...won't even suspect it.

Those college kids? Building those AI programs? Setting up "announced, advertised, PROMOTED.."...games against top players?

Welll...they're no different....than all those college kids that...came before them.

And..ummm?...went out and tested their wares ...in the real world.

Oh yah...BOTs are playing humans.

I played online poker years ago..I'm trying it again. I was on all those BIG NAME joke sites back then...and after being back in it for just 2 months ...nut'n's changed.
Except the user names.

Heck...I DO BELIEVE?.. that I'm personally... 3 of those 200,000 members...CC went hurrah over last fall when it hit the 200,000 member milestone... and got all those accolades.

Playing poker is about knowing the game.
I've still got alot to learn. But...I got enough remedial education to play.


Can I finish with questions?

When's the last time CC had 200,000 entries in a freeroll?
When's the last time CC's "now online" viewers ..hit 200,000?
When's the last time CC posted a rollcall thread. Lol.

I did some analyzing on the poker software, the flops , the turn, and the river, and the hands that were being played.
Here are my findings.
After 7056 hands that were analyzed by me a MIT graduate.
67.81% of the time there are doubles on the flop.
78.69% of the time when there is more then three people in the hand doubles hits the flop.
72.99% of the time the worst starting hand ends up winning the hand.
89.23% when you are dealt one of the five big starting hands, AA,KK,QQ,JJ,AK , someone else was dealt one of the five with 67.77% of the time the lower end hand wins.
48.49% of the time on the flop will come three of the same suite with 89.91% of someone hitting a flush.
23.00% of the time in a game you will see quads from three different people in a ten man tournament.
87.81% of the time when short stacked and your dealt a very good hand, AJ, A10,AQ,AK. and you go all in with one caller with a big stack, the big stack wins. 87.81% do you believe that one.

There is a lot more I could tell you people that I analyzed but you get the picture.
This site is rigged so bad that they don't even try to hide it, it takes someone like me to do the math and expose this cheating no good site.
Stay clear from this site ,trust me my math is always right.
Now go to poker odds and see the real odds on everything i just gave you, no where even close to what this crooked site is dealing to people.

OK, it's great that you got an "MIT" graduate to analyze these stats because something doesn't seem right. How do get "doubles" (pairs?) on the flop 67.81% of the time and also get 3 of the same suit on the flop 48.49% of the time?? You can't get a pair if all three card are the same suit. Are you sure this guy graduated?

I really am not a fan of betonlines software. It doesn't seem like our best option as American players. However, how do we really know anything is safe or real online? Until online poker is actually govt regulated I don't know what to think about legitimate online poker.
