MTTs put more burden on servers, since they take longer time to complete on average. So that cant really be the reason.Or maybe it is just the high cost with servers to make them available?
888 Poker dont have any incentive to move people from SnGs to MTTs. But they do for sure have an incentive to move them to BLAST, since these games are an excellent rake machine taking only 2-6 minutes each to play. So yeah. Part of the calculus is most likely, that they hope, some of the SnG players will move to BLAST. But it might also just have been, that activity had gotten so low, the games were dying anyway, and then they preferred to completely remove the SnG lobby rather than watch it become a desert.Probably the main idea behind it is to get rid of those low variance games and promote the BLAST stuff or MTTs where variance is much higher. 🤷🏻♂️
There was activity in sng's and their greedy incentive to simply move people to blast...well its not that easy. Maybe total fish will do but most players will probably simply cash out and play somewhere else where those games are still offered. Way to go 888 to decrease a decreasing player pool even more.MTTs put more burden on servers, since they take longer time to complete on average. So that cant really be the reason.

Sure. SnGs are still offered on pokerstars, partypoker and ACR, so pretty easy and obvious to just move your business there. There was activity in sng's and their greedy incentive to simply move people to blast...well its not that easy. I have not played on 888 for a long time, so did not notice these changes. And were never playing BLAST anyway. But you are right. These games no longer move to forced all-in preflop after 2 minutes (the lower buyins) or 6 minutes (the higher buyins) like before. But instead you now only get 300 chips, which with blinds starting at 40/20 is 7,5BB. So there is basically no postflop play at all, and in the first game, I tried, I was busted after just two hands. The next one lasted 10 hands, after which I won it, because my opponent was sitting out. Pretty ridiculous, and I dont know, who this is for, other than people who would alternatively play casino games.they also changed the format of the blast games weeks ago. They moved them from a 25bb starting stack to a way lower starting stack of 7bb (or something like that) making the game essentially bingo again like before the change when they had the 1 minute time clock.
It looks like you only can do that on PS now (And maybe some other sites like party poker..).I really miss the days when you could just load up a set of sngs and play as many as you want.
Now it seems like you are lucky if you can get one to run.
Yeah they didn't have much volume there anyway. But when you get on a couple of them, the competition is (WAS) really soft.I didn't know about that, but it does not surprise me. Every time I tried to play SNG there I had to wait 20 minutes or more to play one table (and I play micro/small limits), so, I gave up of SNG there a long time ago.
Maybe bad for the players who like SIT & GOs, not for them. Believe me, they know what's profitable for them and what's not !Really sad news.I used to play the $0.10 10 playersit& goes. Bad decision made by 888.
Well, as far as I know, 2 documents are enough to verify your account !888poker no longer works or did I not understand? or it just doesn't work in CIS countries damn I've already sent so many documents for verification, god, they just don't ask me I've already sent everything they ask for some documents every day I'm tired of sending them to confirm verification
No man, it's just the greed. They want people to play their s**ty Blast. Fast money. That is something I really don't understand. In GG Poker there are not sit and gos too. Ok, maybe people don't play them as much as cash or tournaments anymore, maybe one can argue that they are not an exciting format anymore. Is that a plausible reason? Or maybe it is just the high cost with servers to make them available?
Yeah, they didn't have much volume, but they always had a few going. The double or nothing ones were kind of popular, the $1, $3 and $5 always had some regulars. But they look at things differently...It is sad they are no longer available to players of the site. I cant imagine why they would honestly stop them as people do play them.
This is not specific to 888 Poker. But I absolutely hate those corporate announcements, which try to make it sound like, having less choise is somehow better for consumers. I mean.... its not like, they replaced their SnGs with anything else. They just took them downAre they going to replace them by those speedy "Slot poker" ? Like "Spin & Gold" or "AoF" from GG, in order to make more $$$$, or are they going to just forget about them altogether ?

Is it new? I haven't noticed that but I did not play today nor yesterdayAs the tiltle says. Absolutely hate it since i really liked to play some of them 🤮😭
Exactly, right ? They took them out and they are saying : Don't worry, you'll have "more" tourneys and events to choose from ! Do they think that people are stupid or what ??This is not specific to 888 Poker. Not sure about that man. Most of the time, they know what they're doing. They wouldn't have made that "move" if it wasn't profitable for them.I guess they lost a good amount of players
