New layout on 888 poker is awful

I do not mind the design at 888poker. I don't know what the old was like, but the current seems fine to me. I think people like throwing things at each other as it seems to happen quite regular.

I like to watch movie as I play poker but 888 software will explode my eardrums if movie is loud enough to hear.

only choice is to go to settings and turn off all game sounds.

only problem with that is I have been timed out several times due to the lack of volume.

888poker is one of the better non-pokerstars clients. Unlike ACR it runs without major problems on a Mac, which is pretty important to those of us playing on a Mac.

The only really good one is Pokerstars.

As I can see, the new layout looks like the layout that introduced first by unibet and it really looks quite immature and cartoonish. And about the same philosophy is Run It Once Poker's client too.

I don't know how the poker rooms came to the decision that this type of layout is attractive.....I think they want to attract teenage recreational players.....

I just got the new update this morning just when I hit Level 14! Perhaps they are rolling out the updates by Highest to Lowest club levels? :dontknow:

I guess I don't really mind the new look, I just need to adjust to it!

so far I like this software upgrade, it has nothing to do with what level your on, everyone gets the new update when they open their clients

restore your computer to an earlier time to get old client back

I just logged in and there was another update.

I only noticed 2 things from the update so far, that 888 has gone back to allowing you to save your password and that the daily spin comes up without having to click on it.

I'm glad that the password is saved again, it was a minor annoyance having to type it in every time.
I haven't been on long enough to see if 888 has reversed the very annoying auto log out if you've been inactive.
I know a lot of people hated the auto log out and having to type in the password every time, maybe enough that 888 actually listened.

Terrible interface

Haven't played 888 but it can't be as bad as Bovada. I've never seen ANY website, poker or otherwise, actually regress over time as it has. Changed both the sports and poker interface to the point it's laughable. The graphics look like something from Atari in 1982. And I am not exaggerating. They now make you sit through animations and the "rabbit card," and it has slowed play tremendously. Almost not playable. Very tilting. They have popup boxes that will start appearing on-screen and populate your entire screen- dozens of them. When that happens, you can't get back into an SNG or tournament. Of the seven times this happened to me, they refunded my buy-in only three times. I know high school students who could code software better than the interface at Bovada.

I first started playing there in 2008 and uninstalled the software two weeks ago and won't go back.

About two weeks ago, my 888 software was upgraded.
I liked the new design. I think that these changes were necessary.

I said that as well earlier,I am glad of the improvement.

Yesterday I created an account on 888 Poker. I enjoyed it. I don't know about the early version. I am not satisfied with the lack of choice of seats at the table and personal avatars. It is much easier to play than Stars and more diverse games. Wheel of Fortune immediately wrote me a ticket to the game 3000. Stars poker school hasn't given me a single ticket to the wheel of fortune in ten days.

What is this Stars school wheel of fortune ticket you are speaking about? I joined the school some time ago, and can click on the scratch ticket but nothing about wheel ?? By the way, on the ticket, I havent won anything in some time.

I still have a problem with the client auto shutting down, but not as bad since the update...so thats a good thing. While it should surprise me, it really doesn’t that some have chosen to axe grind because they have lost the ability to auto log in

Is that really that big a deal?

I know I get the message on the App (at least 5 times a day that I log on) that I “can’t access the lobby and try again in a few min”. Simple disconnection. So I log back in. That never has left me “unable to log back in” while I “race around the site looking for updates” while my stack gets blinded away.

Watching Man City v BHA. Seems like a better way to enjoy an early morning in BC as opposed to griping about a minor beef about a second level poker site

I likes...
1.- Auto-login
2.No log out timer
3. Yes tweaking the settings makes it better....I did

I dont like...
1. Runs slow playing 3+ tables
2.The "animation"
3.Shuts down if table/lobby freezes

i don't like when the new design consumes more that 60% CPU, absolute garbage! luckyly they put the option the play on the old format and runs good on my PC.
