good job kenzie!

I did 4 of them last night had 2 top 8 finishes, 1 i donked in the first round, and one got to the final table only to get AA cracked by a flush on the river.

Sure was fun though!

Great job to those who've advanced to Round 2! Hopefully, I'll be joining you guys eventually! The best finish for me so far has been 7th place. It seems like it takes 2+ hours to get to the top 10.

The registration is similar to PAD series in that it's every 3+ minutes but doesn't fill up as quickly (thankfully!)

BTW, if you advance to Round 2, does that prevent you from playing Round 1 or can you still play? Basically, I want to know if you can accumulate the tickets to Round 2.

Can't seem to find these. Any help is appreciated. thanks.

In the real money section, go to the Sit & Go section and you'll see a tab for Heads Up. If you rearrange the games by buy-in, the freeroll comes up in orange. You can access it from the Play Money section as well.

Hey Bill,

Chin up I've had the same thing happend to me last year for the wsop Main Event seat at UB :( I won 3 qualifying tournies to get to the Final one they were giving away 12 seats and I was in solid position with about 18 players left blinds were getting very big and I had pocket Aces and a fairly short stack player shoves all in preflop and I called him and he had mid pocket pair of course he caught on the river to save himself and it crippled my stack :( I couldnt survive the blinds and I hit a bad steak even if i got in with best hand I would lose. I went out 14th it was sooooo painful.

GL and I hope ya get another shot at a major event!

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeetest:)

I have won one of these and came in second another time... they are quite fun and a good way to practice some heads up although the competition is typical for freeroll (over aggressive for the structure) so it is a bit easy... ABC poker will have you losing to varience only

The second round is a full ring tourney ... didn't take that one down

the only thing i hate about round 1 is that 2 people on the same table sit out and it takes 30 minutes for them to blind out.....that sux

Ya that is the worst... you would think Full Tilt would have something in their programming that could pick up on this and just move them all in after say...150 folds with no calls in a row.

I mean they can't all be Allen Kessler

Heads Up

for the Heads Up on FullTilt (NBC), are we playing to earn an entry to play in the NBC Heads Up tournament? I'm not clear on this. It also sounds like just an entry to wath the filming.

I do like these types of competitions. Heads up in that case doesn't really reflect a final heads-up tourney, but it is really interesting to play as a practice for some quick seats !
I never won one, but I already finished 3rd or even 2nd...
What I like in those types of tourneys is that everyone can play quickly (there's no interest for other player to play the time)
What I don't like with it : When a table takes 30 minutes and you finished your heads up in 2 minutes, you have to wait 28 minutes without doing anything, and then I feel a lack of concentration ...

Playing for a seat in the 2nd round tourney which they have every Saturday. Winners there (I assume) go on to next level. I assume, like the Poker After Dark tourneys, there is eventually a Final, with winner(s) actually playing in the 2009 NBC Heads Up Tournament.

But I may be wrong. Anybody have any more information?

in the first few rounds, you get donkeys playing which does kind of ruin the whole situation.
but i reckon once you get into the last 32, everyone realises they actually have a chance of further progressing so thats when you get proper poker.
i've been to the final table 3 times and ive lost all three times which gets kind of annoying because these tournys do take a lot of time.
however, since starting to play these events, i reckon my heads-up play has massively improved.

So I won a NBC Heads Up freeroll and was entered into the tourney yesterday. It was just a regular Texas Hold'em, nine people at the table. I was quite disappointed. I wanted to continue with heads up.
It is really unclear, but it looks like you win the chance to observe the filming of the NBC Heads Up Tournment, not play in it.

Heads Up Competitions Again

Heads up at FullTilt has resumed. Guess it as very popular. There is also a No Limit Holdem competition for entries to the National Headsup Championship, held each evening at pokerstars/Tourney/Regional section. Good Luck! These are all free.

nbc heads up

Pretty sure it is for a seat at the heads-up tourney. Can't believe they would have a tourney to go watch others play!
To get in easier, instead of waiting to enroll on the tourney page, go to sit and go and find the announcement there and open up the room page and it will show when the next tourney opens.

continued

Then you just click on registration when the register now button appears. I get in no problem this way. Am usually one of the first to enroll.
Hope this helps with getting in!
