I'm surprised by your intention to deposit on Pokerstars when you're saying in another thread that you do not have the results on this site as you like. 🤔
this is still in the plan! That's why I want to refute it on pokerstars, so that I can finally have something to win from so that I can experience success. because it seems that you can only win with a lot of money on pokerstars.

Hmm i dont know. In your other thread you were talking about pokerstars cheating and now you want to deposit 5000 there and you dont even know what to play? Seems very odd and im not believing you sorry.

If you are really going to do it i wish you good luck because you will certainly need it. Be sure to confirm your account first before depositing that much money.
My pokerstars account has been fully confirmed :) And yes, I still plan to pay this amount. that's why I'm going to pay so much to have something to win from. I feel that money can only be won with money on pokerstars.

I find your question investing such a large amount of money a bit strange when you seem to not really understand the basics of poker and what to play!!!! I prefer to meditate...
It's quite possible that $5000 isn't a large amount to him at all. His $5000 could be your $50

I'm reading some good advice here for you, in my opinion it's a considerable investment, I want to remind you that it's not the investment that will make you a great player and also your opponents won't know about your cash, check the existing promotions, talk to cashout requirements support, I trust PokerStars, good luck, and think about it.

As has been mentioned, i also find it strange with such a large deposit, you are asking which games you should play. Not many people have 5k expendable cash lying around to put on a poker site & are not sure what to play.

Anyway, i would probably grind sit & go's.

Good morning.Sorry, mate but I don't know whether you are serious ir not.How are you planning to deposit that large amount of money if you don't even know what to play?.If you already were a profitable player ,I would believe in what you are saying.Think about it more seriosly please, since,in my opinion this is a very risky adventure. You could better deposit $50 or $100 and then try some games in which you feel confortable on Stars.I hope you can make the best decision.Good luck!

I think the most important advice is to know your limits, stay realistic and only play limits that you know how to play. It may be tempting to play in tournaments with high buy-ins because the prize pools are much more attractive, but the opponents there are also much better than at lower levels. No one is going to give you anything. So feel your way slowly and depending on your experience I would first target smaller tournaments and as soon as you are profitable there dare step by step to the next limit. But don't rush - 5000 dollars is a lot of money and unfortunately you overestimate yourself quickly, I can say from my own experience.

I want to deposit $5000! and build my bankroll. What kind of pokers would you recommend that I start to be profitable? what tournaments should you play? perhaps a cash game? headsup. or should I force competitions? How can I be profitable in the long run? 1vs1 poker?
Do the following, don't deposit anything, start your bankroll with CC freerolls, it's much more positive.
Take this $5,000 and lend it to Gritz18, he needs to buy a new computer, buy milk for his 11 kids and have a barbecue weekend, it will be a better investment.:ROFLMAO:

Ps: Jokes aside, the money is yours, do with it what your heart says, and be happy, luck at the tables.:)(y)

it's just funny if you don't have a strategy and understanding of how to play and what to play, then if you get at least 50,000 bucks, you'll still lose, my advice to you is to take a deposit only when you want to play and no more than $200

That is way too much to deposit. Start with $500 and play low stakes tournaments.
Maybe a man is rich as hell and 5000 for him is like 10 bucks for you

I don't know you and I don't know what $5000 means to you, but what I do know is that you won't become a better poker player just because you have deposited more money. You can also win a lot with little money and you can also lose a lot with a lot of money. And then I don't know how good you are at poker. You know yourself best but even if you are the richest man in the world, I would still say that 5k is simply too much if you are not sure how and what you want/should play poker. Maybe you had a bad time in poker but this will pass again, you just have to be patient and try to improve your game

I don't think that matters - you still need to be cautious when learning how to play poker. It is essential that you practice good bankroll management skills from the start. If he had so much money that money was not an issue and if he didn't care how it played out he would not be asking these questions.

Completely agree. $500 is a good amount to start with, if the intention is to play MTTs. Its enough to play $2,2-$5,5 MTTs, and this is, where any MTT player need to begin, if the intention is to win money rather than just gamble and have fun.

I think it's absurd to invest such a large amount of money to play poker. If you don't know the basics of poker and don't learn at least a million dollars, deposit it will still be 0. It will be easier to give this money to someone right away. Start with cardchat freerolls, which are good players you can meet in expensive tournaments. Try to win there first, and if you can, please do it and the money is yours, but since you've decided to write this, my advice to you first think about what you're doing.

Thank you very much for the good advice! :) I'm reconsidering this, it's probably a better decision to start with $500. I hope I'll be able to build my bankroll.

Thanks everyone for the good advice! I have to agree with you, it's probably a better decision to just pay poker stars $500! and I try in low-stakes tournaments. I hope I can be profitable in the long run :)

It's definitely good advice.

If you deposit $5000 right now and go hell for leather it would be comparable to chucking ten bucks of chum over the side of a boat in shark-infested waters and then diving right in the middle of it all for a nice little swim.

Don't do that. :)

Start at the bottom and work you way up is a far more practical and feasible option.

About five years ago I decided to start playing poker 'seriously' rather than as a past-time to see if I could make something of it.

I thought I already knew how to play poker then and that I was a 'good' player.

The reality of the situation is that I learnt more in that first six months than I had previously in fifteen or so years of playing recreationally.

I.E. I had no idea how to play poker properly, let alone profitably.

Thankfully I found CardsChat pretty early on in my adventure and (along with various strategy books and the suchlike) it has been a Godsend.

My advice would be to focus on studying and learning as much as possible about strategy, theory and practice what you learn at low stakes, or even freerolls.

As you improve you will know when it's time to start moving up - incrementally!

Best of luck and very happy to see you here at CardsChat, I'm sure it will help you as much as it has me... :D ❤️
