I think Elky founded this pokerroom and we all know he's a huge nerd. He was in esports before there was a name for it .
Won insane amounts by playing StarCraft 2.
So maybe that's where this videogame Design comes from

I feel that ggpoker seeks to differentiate itself from other platforms with something different, they all offer tournaments and games, so they seek to attract a certain group with the graphics. Personally, I don't like it very much.

GGPoker actually has ALL of the huge poker BOSSES playing on it these days. All of the High Stakes MTT players, new & old (who are still playing these days) have all migrated to GGPoker. It is just loaded with them. fwiw, I've followed HSMTT play for many years (15+) and I see names of players on there who were killing it back in 2007 on UltimateBet/AbsolutePoker, Fulltilt etc.

yes I don't get it either.. aside from the creepy smile the big balloon head to the small hands doesn't help.
I suppose the goal was a comical caricature of himself .. but there's nothing comical imo just disturbing and creepy ^^
