Recently changed countries - so had to update all details and add in bank account details. ACR, GG, Netbet and unibet. Both ACR and GG take crypto, so had deposited and withdrawn - Netbet and Uni do not so had made zero deposits or withdrawals.

ACR - they just changed the details.
GG - had to download a UK version - they manually paid out my balance using BTC.
Netbet - had never made a deposit - but they used a bank transfer to pay money into my UK account.
Unibet - suspended my account when I told them that I had changed countries. Not going to transfer the balance to a new account OR exchange for tickets.

So you've been warned.

there is nothing wrong about unibet. if you changed to a new country from where they allow play, you are probably allowed to open a new account and just casho out from the old one.

I think they're checking your account. Just wait a little bit or contact the support via e-mail or live chat. I don't think they're trying to scam you.

Wow - they cannot grasp that when I opened the account - over a year ago, probably 2 years ago - I lived in one country, and have since moved (2 months ago) and wanted to update my bank details.

No one in the history of the world has ever changed countries it seems.

Whatever, no huge loss - I did not mind the site. They say I can start a new account, but obviously will not on principle.

I think, you will find, that poker sites tend to treat you better, if you have made one or more deposits. If your only funds on a particular site originates from freerolls, they might lean more towards feeling, that you are not a particular valuable "customer", and that they dont owe you anything ;)

Changing addresses brings up red flags for security teams because it is a warning sign of possible "account takeover" (ie: someone pretending to be you and taking over your account). I'm sure that it will come out fine for you after they have done their investigation.

I was more than happy for them to either change the address so my bank details would match my account when trying to make a first deposit. Or if I had to open a new account ( like I had to at Netbet and GG) they could transfer the amount over in cash or tickets.

Obviously, I now see I was being totally unreasonable. What was I thinking!!

;)

BTW have asked them to tell me where I lied so I can show documentation to prove I haven't.

Nope, they said they not going to do that.

So just accuse, but don't back it up. That's the way to run a company...

I'd be happy to help facilitate moving any unused tickets/points from one account to another (Assuming you're in a countries where they are valid). Not sure why you were told they could not be moved but I'd need some more information to investigate.

Jumping into conclusion that UniBet is not trusted and such, without giving them chance to check your case, it's not cool.
I am not affiliated with them, but open a case with them and I am sure they will sort out.

I had similar issue when I moved from USA to germany, and in most poker clients went smooth, with other ones not so, but it was all sorted out, when I provided all requested documents.
I am sure they will sort out for you to.
Just give them a few days, and you need to follow up with them.

Not sure if my account is a little too new to get PMs or not but not received any PMs.

I haven't bothered opening a new account yet - but if you feel you can sort this out I will

Ok, in a nutshell.

I opened an account at Unibet while in South Africa Feb 2020
I cannot deposit as Unibet does not take crypto
I build up to a balance of around 50 euros
2 Months ago I move to the UK
I email Unibet to ask them what should I do as I have a new address/ country
I say I have no problem with the balance being transferred in tickets
Unibet cancels my account
I ask why
They quote

3.1.5 An individual applying for registration warrants and represents that any information provided in their application form is true and correct. Failing this, Unibet will not register the individual, and where that individual has already been registered, Unibet will block the Unibet Account when it becomes aware that the individual has provided false information when registering as a player.

3.2 Management of the Unibet Account

3.2.1 Unibet reserves the right at its own discretion and at all times, to: g. forfeit and/or confiscate funds available on a Unibet Account and/or refuse to honour a claim, in the event that, directly or indirectly: (i) the Unibet Rules have been violated; and/or (ii) other unauthorised activities have occurred in connection with a betting event and/or the operation of a Unibet Account (such as, but not limited to, breach of the law or other regulations, breach of a third party’s rights, fraud, and cheating);

I ask them to tell me where I lied so that I can send documents to prove I haven't

They say they will not

This looks like an error on our side and you should have been allowed to transfer the funds to a UK account. I'm not sure of the exact reason why the account was cancelled but I suspect it was a combination of there not being a deposit on the account and the address update that looked half SA and half UK caused an agent to believe the details were fake.

If you want to you can create a new UK account and once you have completed the verification process I can ensure your old balance is restored. I'll also credit your account any Bonus points, ticket and playthrough bonuses that were active when the account was closed.

Well, that would be great. Have opened an account. clicked verify and it says no documents needed - I had sent some earlier, maybe they were on file?

I really appreciate all your help Andy - I had written off Unibet - but I did enjoy some of the MTTs on there so look forward to playing on there again.

If this is true it would be terrible to play there. What I like the most is pokerstars very easy withdrawal (Bank Wire Transfer). Perhaps GGNetwork should do this too.

Balance restored and Ticket/points transferred across. They won't use your old verification documents so you'll need to provide new ones before deposit/withdrawal.

Turns out there is another customer with a very similar name to yours that received the transfers. Should be all sorted now.

Thank you very much Andy- received

I do appreciate all your help. I am sure Unibet will gain from having a helpful customer support member.
