Does anyone play at this site. I want a change of personnel/pace and I m thinking about making a deposit but don't know where. ignition or Betonline. I am already on ACR - I am a US player so my options are limited. - Any words of wisdom out there please

I have played on Betonlime and as far as I can tell it is a good site, Ignition Poker is a new one on me, looked at a couple of reviews and it seems ok but as I say I have never used them.
I would recommend you google both sites and read a few reviews.
From my point of view I would pick Betonline.

I do like Ignition. I deposited $100 maybe last summer and withdrew from the site nice and easy, no problems. I highly recommend. Also they have weekly $1,000 freerolls once you earn enough points and it renews every week.

Either one is ok. BetOnline has better tourney's for your money then Ignition. Ignition tourney's cost a lot for the GTD amount. Meaning you are paying like 5 for a 200gtd and so on. Only like 2 tourneys or so a day that are 2 to 3.00 Buy in's.

The site is too slow, often freezes in all in situations. I would definitely not recommend it.

It is likely the softest room out of all of them. Players are anonymous and some people really dislike that. I would say by far the best room, with the exception of the one room I have yet to try being Global Poker, supposedly even softer.

I do not know anything about this site. In my opinion, it is better to play poker on sites that already have a good reputation such as ACR, BOL, or SB.

I understand, I am from the US as well and I enjoy ACR, but I do play at both BetOnline and Ignition. I find BetOnline's freerolls are always available but the rate of winning is a little rough where Ignition's rate of winning is good; able to maintain a bankroll, but i have never seen a freeroll game. This, of course, is just my opinion. ;)

I don't like Ignition poker because the games are anonymous. The software is very basic and due to each player being assigned a number I find it hard to play there because you don't know who you're playing against. Maybe others prefer playing there but I'd recommend playing at BetOnline until ACR gets back up and running.

thanks for that insight - I am trying to keep notes and without names I would know where to start. are you saying each person is assigned a different number every tourney they play?

Yes you are assigned a different number every time you play a tourney there. It makes it difficult for me to get a read on my opponents but maybe others like playing there because they've had some success. For me, I prefer ACR when it comes back but right now I'm playing at BetOnline til ACR is working properly.

I've only played on a couple of sites and I'm not familiar with Ignition. So far I can say that Betonline has been the better of the sites that I have visited played on.

Hi, thanks for the heads up - I like to have a idea who I am playing against - for me since I am starting from scratch they say pay attention - random numbers woukd drive me nuts. thanks again

Don't know why there is so much hate on anonymous tables - I find it to be the best feature they have. Do you really want some shark gathering info on you? Do you want bots to get to know how you play? To me, it's just like sitting down at a table in Vegas where i don't know anyone.

Sorry, I’m very new to poker. But by “softest” do you mean more amateur players? If so do you think it’s a good place for beginners? Thanks for your time. 🙏

Lots of loose play. Like/hate the anonymity but started playing there again this week with ACR committing suicide.. Clunky software, but lots of games.

Am I just being impatient?

So, I've tried to sign up with Ignition twice today, because I guess I'm supposed to get an email to verify my account? But haven't seen any yet?

I guess my question is... Is it normal to wait 5 to 10 minutes to receive a verification email from them? Or am I just doing something wrong?
Thanks, and sorry if I sound like a complete ass hat!:eek:

Ignition

I used to LOVE PokerStars until those of us in the States got stuck with the short end of the stick and have VERY FEW promising sites. Sigh...:(

I play at BOL. I like it ok. Doesnt have the traffic Pokerstars or 888 has but it has a very good CC freeroll once a week.

I mean more poor players, so if that means amateur than sure. You have to learn somewhere, the main thing is that you play as low stakes as possible as a beginner.

Thanks for the reply. [emoji120] Yeah, I meant poor players such as myself. Glad to hear that. I want to be able to get some experience/education. Before I lose all of my chips. [emoji6]

How does ACR have a good reputation? It's 1 big bot ring. ACR has the best MTT schedule but Ignition is Bovada, they've been around far longer.
