I don't know why everytime after I win some money on poker stars , my cards seems like are controlled in some way .
Example , I won 3d place in a tournament and then boom .4 times in 10 minutes in 3 different tournaments pocket aces loose and kick me out . And it's not the first time this happens to me .
Is it only me or this is happening to you guys
I cracked aces twice tonight en route to cashing. Like you I complain only about the bad luck.

This discussion never die...

But one thing for the people trust 100% at poker sites security, is thinking this sites wants money. For this site is more lucrative a regular winner who don't cash all time money from the room, or a regular loser when deposit come after him break?
Is a software, who working with this, know this can be done..

There is no question, that losing AKA "net depositing" players are, what keep the whole wheel spinning in the poker industry, so of course sites would rather have more of them instead of winning players AKA "regulars". This is why, the last several years has been, what some call "a war on regs" with sites taking many initiatives to make the games more "recreational player friendly".

But this does not mean, that the sites are rigged to favour losing players. In fact the vast majority of people, who think, online poker is rigged, are losing players themselfes, whereas winning players rarely has this beleif. So if this theory was true, it would be rigged to favour the exact people, who think, its rigged against them :)

I don't think so, I just think it's programmed the way it is.

There is no cheating in PS. If that happened and someone noticed it, they would have a lot of legal problems, surely.

In my opinion it is not pokerstars, it is only about algorithms. So when they put new algorithm it does that i guess.

don't worry about anything, it's just variance), there is another common theory - if you made a cash out, then after that you start losing coin flips))) all this is, of course, complete nonsense;)
That's it .that's whats happening

I mean it's very strange for someone calling all in with a big stack for 6 and 7 suited , and then hit you when your holding a pair of aces

Then why that algorithm hits you after you win some money not before ?

This is absolute trollop. As in BS. As in, the brown stuff.
It is *possible* that players suck on 888 compared to Stars, but I call bullshit.
It is hard to cash in poker in general because people got a LOT better over the course of COVID.
At the beginning of Covid, I was raking it in. Now, my profits have dropped down and I'm funding my bankroll from a bank account, which TOTALLY sucks.
But this is not a PokerStars issue.
Losing (over th mediumk to long term) is ALWAYS your own fault.
Sure, there is variance. But variance hits the short term only, and doesn't really factor in over the long term unless you have a losing strategy.

Get a HUD. Record ALL your hands.
Review your data.
You will quickly find that you are losing because of predictable leaks and mistakes rather than bad beats.

Part of the reason we remember these hands more is that MOST of the hands we win, never even get to showdown. Our opponents KNOW they have lost before the river and usually bail out, pull their ripcord and parachute to the ground safely.

But when hands go to the river, there is clearly a smaller gap in the hands, or a better chance at hitting.

So which hands tend to call the flop and try to see the river?
You guessed it... Made hands, premiums and suited connectors.

Which ones are most likely to result in a monster hand/bad beat?
You guessed it... Made hands, premiums and suited connectors.

Made hands start out good, and generally get worse as the run out occurs.
Premiums start out decent and can improve.
Suited connectors are just trying to hit that monster.

Playing in the micros, people quite commonly chase (and make) flushes and straights.
In the freerolls, this is where the big pots are won.
That's why you see so many people limping into pots from early positions.
That's also why I 3-bet a tonne in freerolls.

All this said, I AM convinced that Stars is programmed for action. I don't believe they have achieved the Nirvana of true randomness.
But I don't think I LOSE because of this. Generally, I lose because of bad decisions and poor discipline. I can play for several hours with discipline and then some turd gets on the table, disrespecting everyone, playing crap, and then you want to teach them a lesson, only to discover you were trailing and didn't even realise it.

I would like to see shuffle & deal algortihms and RNGs made publicly available/open source. Until then, I won't truly trust it.
There are certainly some sketchy things going on. (Which I will post about in a separate post).

Cheers,
JT
I marked a section in bold. I don't think the games are that much harder. Especially on the mid/low stakes. can only speak of sng and mtt. people still play a lot of limp calls and very often just check everything down without thinking twice.
as someone wrote here. with some learning effort and session reviews. it's not really that hard to beat the games on a certain sample. the only thing that is always there is the variance. and that's just as well. otherwise most would deposit once and lose and never play again.

This is the world-famous Doom Switch, specially activated by Star's employees after the cash out. Just kidding. Maybe you had a really good run before you cashed out, and then things just go back to normal.

Such periods definitely happen at PokerStars. I myself fell into this cycle. And this happens to you for a long time. You can play in other poker rooms until the period of failures passes.

I am always surprised when we lose with a premium hand against worse cards then we complain and the poker site is certainly a cheater, but if we win against a premium hand ourselves with scrap hands then everything is fine. Well, I don't know what it's like with the others, but I've already experienced it myself that I won with worse hands against better hands and, of course, that I've lost hands to garbage with AA, for example. And yes, when it comes to AA, I feel like I've lost 1000 times with it. But this doesn't prove anything because if a respectable site were to control something like that and cheat, they would not only lose their reputation but also their customers and legal action would be taken against them.

The answer to this debate quite simply lies in 'get a tracker'..! ;)

My belief is that will reveal many mysteries... :censored:

Qui Bono, who benefits. Pokerstars are a muli-million dollar company, they have no reason to nickle & dime you. I recognise the feeling, but it is just variance mate.

I remember when i won $9 on freeroll and then raise it to $50 playing spin and go.
When i pressed withdraw button to learn how i can get money on my card something weird happens.
I got lose streak and lost all my money!
I played the same style like before but it was a streak of non lucks for me.
So i suppose that pokerstars change their "random luck" algorithms when they feel that u want to get cash.

Loosing streaks can happen everytime in poker and it has nothing to do with you cashing out or not. I mean you made 50 dollars out of nothing, its obvious that you were running very well and the sunrun stops at some point, its normal 🙂

You could be simple in a downswing mate. If you are disciplined with your hands and play your ABC game in a downswing, there is absolutely nothing to worry. The only thing you can control is how much your opponents put in when they are ahead and how little you put in when you are ahead.
Luck will decide how the game ends. If you're a winning player, keep playing as you are and things will turn around if you hit a bad streak.(y)

Nothing is happening to you or to anyone else. PokerStars does not care who wins or loses in a tournament. :)
I agree, large poker rooms simply do not need to use any fraudulent schemes and risk their reputation, they already have a profit comparable to large corporations.
