I don't like it because, it's a free ticket to be a donkey, and no one's anyone the wiser! At least if their screen names we can identify the donkeys.

Please explain to me what you mean by players cheating...like bots?
Maybe he means friends all sitting down at one table, in the same room in real life, pillaging anyone who comes in. They wouldnt be able to see names or even countries im guessing, would be hard to tell. Or maybe he means the people who have card reader programs, who knows.

Ummm you can keep it just take it in notepad. But it will be useless because you dont know if it is the same player or not after you change tables.
Using notepad would be alot of extra work , and switching back and forth when your playin 3 or 4 tables??? There taking our rake , would should be able to make notes....

Maybe I am missing something how does note taking correlate to rake taking?

When I 1st started playing @ Bovada I didn't like the anonymous tables because I wasn't used to it.The notes you take on a player only last in the game you are currently in.Then I started thinking, everyone here playing is in the same boat.I have profited from Bovada though once I got used to it.Players catch on quickly who's bluffing.who's buying pots and who's the solid players by just paying close attention & taking notes in a game.If you have not played there too long .I would grind hang in there and give it a try.

A good player is not going to turn into a donkey.

I have no problem with the anon tables at Bovada. I've done reasonably well building a nice bank roll there, so I'm non the worse for wear because of it.

I like it. It plays more like live to me. You do not get rewarded for being a stat geek.

I really hated it at first but it has grown on me. I also think it is here to stay. If Bovada outlasted the firestorm of complaints they recieved in the first couple of months, they will not turn back now. I do wish that they would show screen names after sit and goes and mtts. The reason being, so one could track their own stats on the websites that keep track of these things. It would help in tracking one's own profit/poker goals.

Ok here is what i mean,Lets say 2 players txt or IM each other agreeing to sit at the same table, and instead of making it an obvious collusion, They simply tell each other what they have.

It will be hard for anyone to know who they are beause they can simply stand up, leave and sit back down, Im sure they will do a much better job than this but its just one way of cheating.

I do not like the anon tables, however it has grown into a love/hate relationship. I am slowly realizing that the anon thing may be contributing to an increase in poor players there, who I think prefer to be anon, while at the same time keeping away some of the more solid players who 'have to have their info, notes and stats.' I have forced myself to accept it becuz it really is the best place for me to try and build along with the bonus/promos which are outstanding. being able to take my racebook winnings onto the poker table helps too.

Well for the USA player its a different taste or a unique choice. you have to study the play of your opponent rather looking up stats through a searcher. It kinda helps the fish out a little more, at the same time allowing grinders to go incognito. You would think it would make crappy play stop a little more, but it doesnt lol

I have done well there without a HUD, but I play in the small (25NL) cash games and they play pretty much ABC poker.

I have decided that there is only one thing at Bovada I despise, and that is the beep. I almost like the anon thing these days, as it gets me making educated guesses about who is who. And so far no one has guessed who I am. They have guessed me being others, all of who's games I respect. That's fun.:D:party:

I used to not like the Anon think at first, but not bothered by it anymore...there is both good and bad with it as stated herein. Seems that there are more 'fish' playing on Bovada or, at least, it is seems easier to win.

I would, however, like to see us actually agree to (in Cardschat real money & freerolls) "identify" ourselves (by #) in the Tournament Thread when we reach the Final Table OR reach the ITM portion. May make for some "different" playing strategy at that point ... what you think?
