I have a question about all of this. If they do put in effect the blackout does that mean all the tourneys ive played step tours to get entry into that start in January and Febuary i will not be able to play in.If so that will really sucks as most of you know it takes alot of time to play steps and to win seats in the final tourneys.Im sure that the majority of qualifyers in them tourneys are US players as well.Im all for making online poker legal in the states but do it in a way where its not goning to screw us for 15 months and screw up our cashouts we have pending now.

tweet the deets plz

Basically they couldn't get the Reid Bill passed/forced through, so there'll be no 'blackout'. The PPA will look at moving legislation in 2011

Here is my opinion on the bill.
1. online poker is an extremely lucrative business and the government knows where there is money being made they can make money taxing it.
2. The blackout period is here for one reason and one reason only. If you remove 25% of the players that play online then you cripple the industry.... places outside the U.S. What will happen then when the big casino's dip there fingers in here if the other online sites have not tanked at this time then americans play with those sites and uncle sam makes more money on taxes. Seriously think about it if you remove 25% of a businesses income for 15 months how do you expct them to compete with all of the new casino sites that will be going up.
3. Now this is just my opinion but it seems to me this is just another instance where the government has to tell us what might be good for us and might not be.

Heres an idea im 25 years old have served this country for 7 years and counting and this makes me sick. what i want to do with my money and where i want to spend my money are my business not yours. my family is taken care of and i dont play with money i dont have. if its not broke dont fix stop giving big business a chance why not let a free market be just that a free market. sorry this subject really angers me as often when i come home and play a few hours in the evening it relaxes me. Poker is a hobby of mine and i have no casino closer than 3 hours away from me where am i to play poker and enjoy me deserved down time. I know im going on a rant here but come on enough is enough.

Welcome to our country.. you've come her because YOU understood what made our country great.. and these stupid politicians are trying to correct that ?

How someone like Harry Reid ever got elected to office is beyond me. The unions keep on re-electing him, and the people have the highest unemployment rate in the country and worst housing market to boot.

Has anyone checked to see if he even has a pulse ? Are Zombie's allowed to run for office ?

Im not new to this country i was born and raised here. i have been in the service for 7 plus years. From what i was taught as a kid in history, government, and economics is this, America is the land of opportunity we dont have to worry about what to do or how to do it. Our economy has been the best in the past because a little business could start with nothing and grow into a big business. Are these poker sites much diffrent? It seems to me the way this bill is going to be set into place and is going to just F*** all of the people that have already been running online sites. I dont even see why they outlawed it in the first place its not like your playing at a live casino si even states for that matter should have no say in legislation for online poker. Fact of the matter is the govt. since thic economic down swing like to tell ammericans whats good and not good for them. Like the green car crap.. i like my mustang v8 i dont care if gas cost me more if i want you opinion uncle sam ill ask for it. Our constitution starts of with WE THE PEOPLE not YOU THE SENTATORS. i need to look in to the ppa and see how to become a member but in my opinion i think next years bill will be worse and i think we the people need to be heard.
