good news!

hey everyone - its been a while since i've been around, but i was laid off of my job a few months ago and i haven't been able to think about anything close to poker. but, i was just offered a great job that i'm very excited about, which is the first piece of good news.

the second piece of good news is that a poker room just opened up in my city, about 10 minutes away from my house! they have tournaments and cash games that run every day and night, which is very cool. they even have a nightly freeroll (5 nights a week) with rebuys, which usually generate a first prize of about $1000. i have played in a few of them without spending any cash just for fun, but the rebuy aspect of it is actually very reasonable.

anyway, i have poker back on my mind so i plan on resuming my posting activity here at CC, for it is definitely the best card forum around with great members. and if anyone is in the manchester nh area, i hope to see you down at the amoskeag!

WB and I am not that far from the Manchester area... I actually lived there a long while ago, right off of Elm st. I now live in the Rochester area so straight down 125.. drive dreaded and crazy but now fixed(sort of since they smartened up and took the redlight off the highway) 101 or even business route 101.

I was laid off my job a year ago and don't seem to have been able to think about anything close to getting another one... I blame the poker.

Sounds like you've had your priorities sorted a bit better than I have.
