There are happy hours when you get more points while paying the same rake %..

I don't think it's fair to deduct it from your rakeback if you earned those points from a promo..

For example,If I decide to spend 10K for a book - I will lose $13.50 from my future rakeback... Why? I did not really play that much and didn't pay the same rake.. I got the points from the happy hour ,right? Why they will steal from the future rakeback?

It's imperfect system with strange logic behind it..

Anyway, it looks like satellites are really the best thing to consider if you want to use your points.. Would it be considered cheating if I unregister after winning the satellite and convert tournament dollars to cash ? ;)

If I were you, I would not buy anything from the store. Use the points to enter satellites, then the money you win, use to buy whatever you want. Its a better deal.

You still get charged against your rake back the exact same when you buy into tournaments with points.

Don't want to make a long post, but everyone bitching about this is a huge baby. If you have rake back, be happy, a lot of players can't get rake back. FPP's, sure it can take some a long time to earn them, but it's pretty cool you get to earn them. So, you all are crying about promotions they don't have to give you, but they do to stay competitive and to keep customers coming. So quit crying that you get charged $.005 per point used against rake back, and just be happy you are able to receive rake back to begin with.

Don't use your points yet

It honestly depends on the rakeback site you belong to, i know rakeback pros takes away 0.0005 per 1 FTP used, if you are going to spend a good amount of FTP, say 10,000, it does add up. I do not think it would be best to use them yet, maybe keep saving up for a while and buy something real big. If you buy something now, it will take money away and FTP, so it's probably not worth the chance

This is just wrong. Let me show you why.

Over my db I earn about 820 BASE (non promo) points per $100 of MGR. $100 in MGR is worth $27 in rb. 820 Ftps are worth $4.10 (.005/ftp). If I spend 820 FTPs I lose ~$1.11 of rb. Now if I earn those points in a 2x happy hour I have 1640 points worth $8.10. If I spend them I lose $2.22 in rb.

Value of base points after rb loss is $4.10 - $1.11 or $2.99.
Value of 2x points after rb loss is $8.20 - $2.22 or $5.98.

$5.98 > $2.99 for the same MGR.
