Apparently you can download full tilt poker on Steam. For those who are not aware, Steam is a gaming program for PC gaming.

It says it only has 1 review, but that is false. If you go to their page, you can see all the negative reviews on it from not only former FTP players, but also players who tried it, and talks about having to deposit to play for play money.

Interesting that they decided to put this on Steam, and apparently it's been up there since 2016... though this is the first time I've seen it there.

Hey, do you know if the software really has a server running with people playing? Is it possible to know who administrates it?

Being a play money environment, is it only possible to play if you buy chips? Or there is some function to get some play chips for free?

If it is possible to play or test for free, I would try just to remember the good old days of the best poker room ever.

It says it's a play money site though so not a scam as per one of the reviews. If you can buy additional chips it like buying addons like other games. But obviously it use to be a real poker site, pokerstars bought it when it went into trouble I believe but then later decommissioned the site as a real gambling site.

If it's now a play money site I can see it being hosted through a platform like Steam.

It was my favorite poker platform, with completely realistic handouts! They didn't beat my AA hands 10-9 there, like on PS... They had very good freerolls, and most of them were cash prizes. They also started freerolls for different nationalities. It was great, until they started embezzling...

Poker is poker amigo and full tilt was not different than pokerstars in terms of "realistic handouts" as u say.

No need to bring silly riggie stuff into this discussion.

I dont remember them having good freerolls apart from some u had to qualify for. Actually Full Tilt was a site with very few freerolls (as far as i remember). Those freerolls for nationalites had very few places paid and were not really worth playing.

Just no 😅...but wait...it was also my favourite platform.

I see you are analytical, but you don't even remember the freerolls.... What you think is stupid, is not for everyone! Their $25 freerolls started every 2 hours, where 150-300 people played! It was possible to collect the change! Regarding the national freerolls, specifically Hungarian freerolls started once a day, where maybe 150 players started! You can compare all of this with PS, where there are no freerolls for money anymore, in fact, the number of countries that can still play with them is dwindling. the PS Dealer decides that the river brings the underdog card to the amateur.....In any case, this is my memory, experience, and opinion!

I think the software and RNG were good and clean but the people behind not.

The dealer = the software?

For me the Rng wasn't anymore kind to me than at PS lol. But I still liked Full Tilt more...

Yup exactly... Shame what happened to them . They lost their way long.before black friday...with endless allegations of corruption and theft from players. One of the reason Chris Ferguson fell into disgrace... He stole micro amounts from millions of player accounts...with some other pros and people in FullTilt management

that's how it was....when the scandal broke, we quickly transferred our money to PS, because at that time sending money between PS-TILT was still allowed. It's a shame that it was ruined, it was a favorite of many of us!

I think those freerolls u are talking about happened after full tilt came back for a few years after black friday. I mainly played on ft before that, when they were really big with american players and before stars took them over. Thats probably why i cant remember many freerolls. In my case that national freeroll everytime had like 1k players in it with exactly 18 players paid.

But i kind of agree with u now. The "New FT" had some decent freerolls. But they also had a much smaller player pool.

Poker was way softer back then and i saw all kinds of crazy bad beats on ft. If u play enough u will see it all, regardless the site.

The PS Dealer decides that the river brings the underdog card to the amateur.....
Thanks for that gem 🤣

Absolutely noone was able to quickly transfer anything when "the scandal broke" in 2011 lol. The site got shut down from one moment to another and people were left in uncertainty for years. Noone knew if they would ever see 1 cent of their money again. Some of the players had huge amounts of money stuck. If i remember correctly, the highest amount stuck was something around 6 millions in the account of jungleman (not sure about that).

Sending money between those sites was only possible after ps took them over years later.
