What a ridiculous country. You can go and fight in Iraq when you're 17, but you can't have a beer until you're 21, or play a $1 game of poker in the comfort of your own home. LOL
Freedom Shmeedom
What concerns me more is the bill in Congress that if it all passes would allow the government to create a list of "websites" to blacklist and ban outright. There would be two lists, one would be a mandatory blacklist that all ISPs and phone providers would have to follow and block all addresses on the list.

Do you have a list of countries where one can drink before they are 21 and also play poker in their house, without fear of going to war at 17? Which by the way is on a voluntary basis here still.
Totally agree that this kind of thing really sucks. To be fair though I drank way more before I was 21 then I have after

There's actually a country just north of the US. It's called 'Canada'.
Driver's license @16yrs. (used to be actually only '14' in one of the provinces).
'Legal' drinking age - '19yrs.' (used to be 18, & might still be in one province).
We can play poker too
That REALLY sucks for Washington residents. Not just for all of the recreational & micro stakes players... but I'm sure there are MTT regs. (who reside in Wash.) who make their living playing online poker.
I live just 10mins. from the border to Washington state (less than 5mins. if you took the river). I feel bad for them.
Yes, bummer of an email to receive this morning. They don't go as far as PokerStars, though, and will allow WA residents to play on Full Tilt when they're not physically located in Washington.
Washington state Sen. Margarita Prentice, an ex officio member of the Washington State Gambling Commission, was behind the 2006 law that made playing online poker a felony. The state House of Representatives passed the law 93-5. The state senate passed it unanimously.
Four years later, Prentice remains opposed.
"I just think some of these arguments are utter nonsense," Prentice told ESPN.com. "You mean you're going to move so you can play poker? Gee, lots of luck in your life. … I have nothing against card playing. That's fine. If you want to do that, but I'm sure not going to worry about someone … you know. Let them go pump gas."
Lol. So all you really need is a VPN...
can't tell if serious
absolutely serious
you do know the armed forces are voluntary, right?
I agree that banning online play is bogus but to call the usa a "ridiculous country" is a bit of a stretch. you haven't been to many other countries have you?
