You dont want to play players that get their money in then hit runner-runners? I would play these all day.

PokerStars has been a granted a French license to launch PokerStars.fr

From now on, PokerStars.fr will enable French players initially to play free money tournaments and sit and gos. PokerStars.fr will begin running cash games once the regulations of the French government for online poker have been published. This looks likely to happen tomorrow, Wednesday June 30.

I'm not saying that i don't want to play those hands, Its good to get your money in when you know your ahead lol but i've notice the 3 main locations that ppl are from that always push with nothin and get me 90% of the time are, France, Russia and chile. lol.
And I don't hate them lol. its just sickining when I see their crap cards, but thats poker lol. I do find it ammusing when i flop the nut straight or flush and then push it in, then they call and hit their runner runner quads with like a 9/2 or somethin like that lol. then i ask "why did you call with your pair of twos" other guy says "i was bluffing you" me- "lol nice bluff by calling my all in idiot"

Quick update: the French poker rooms have now opened. 7% rake capped at €3.5 on postflop pots, 2% rake capped at €1 for preflop pots. French players can't play on foreign sites anymore but foreigners are allowed to play on French sites (wtf?) and the French high stakes regs based in London have already opened accounts since at high stakes the rake doesn't matter much. So low stakes will be unbeatable because of the rake and high stakes will be just as hard as before.

After a few days of playing here, I think the airfare rake is most definitely beatable...

Preflop 2% rake . Wow that is immensely stupid, come on french people do one of your protests! Its a damn shame whats happening here although I saw a french player in stars the other day. So basically for the most part the rake is unbeatable and the french people will dwindle to a pool of sharks bitting each others tails.

FTP is following Pokerstars's example. Since 14:00 CET today you can't make a FIRST deposit at FTP anymore if you're from France, and the reason for it is that FTP has applied for a French licence.

Meh, France is only the 4th fishiest country in absolute terms according to http://www.pokertableratings.com/top-countries . USA, Canada and Germany bring more money to the poker economy than France does.

I like how Myanmar (population 50 million) and Lesotho (population 2 million) have each had exactly 1 person ever play on Full Tilt or Pokerstars.
