Last night I decided to play in the Ferguson on FTP, generally I don't play that late unless I'm finishing up an earlier tournament. It was a rollercoast. Hit some flops early on and then went dead for a protracted period. No hole cards worth playing except for an odd hand or two, but then couldn't hit a flop or folded draws, mostly gutshots, due to large oversized bets. Then caught decent hold cards and hit some flops and cooled off again. Pretty much the theme throughout the evening.
Amazingly, everytime I was seriously short stacked and forced to go all-in due blinds I would catch a decent hand and double or triple up. This happened repeatedly until I got beat by a pocket pair and finished 47th. Given that I could have easily finished outside I was very happy.
