I noticed that I do not see any of the $200 free rolls, but there is a USA invitational for $500, but it says you need a ticket, does anyone know how to go about getting this ticket?

I have looked on the website and cannot find any information on it. Thanks.

PokerStars Invitational.

Yeah, I caught that too, except the Canadian Freeroll.
All the same. I have emailed pokerstars for the (probably) 10th time about, notifying Players about changes to their schedules..in 'Some' for or fashion.

My theory (and if I remember reading somewhere) is that they have Tournament Leader Board (TLB) Points and every 3 months they have the Top # of TLB players from each Country designated and issue them to these players. If I am correct in assuming.

I have suggested that they use the Scrolling Banner in the main Lobby or the Pop-Up window when you Log-in, to make announcements to
Players of these changes, and post them on the PS web-site.
SOMEWHERE at least! If not then by email..
But the only response I got ever was that my suggestions would get passed along and La 'de' Da!!

~I like PokerStars and all....but lately they are grinding my last nerve!!~

PokerStars Invitational Answer!

Got this awhile ago!!
As Reads:

Thank you for your email.

Invited players were selected by our Marketing department. We are not
allowed to issue tickets to any player.

At this point you have not been selected. You are eligible to play in
other open freerolls, including the "Play with Daniel Negreanu in the
Bahamas" events.

As at this moment we are not offering the $200 Freerolls for canada and
U.S.A players, due this coming events and we are not sure, yet, when/if we
are going to resume these events.

All players from USA and Canada are eligible to play in one (1) Round 1
tournament each week. You are able to register once each Saturday–Friday
during the promotion for the tournaments named:

Play in the Bahamas with Daniel Negreanu Freeroll

These tournaments can be found by going to the main PokerStars lobby,
clicking on Tourney > Freeroll, and scrolling to locate the next event.

Between now and November 30, you can play in our special Round 1
tournaments for your chance at 110,000 cash prizes and a trip to the
PokerStars Caribbean Adventure.

Once you’ve used your one free entry for the week, you must wait until
the following Saturday to play again. You can play in a Round 1 event
once per week for the entire nine-week promotion. You can also
participate in other PokerStars freerolls by earning Frequent Player
Points (FPP). Frequent Player Points are points awarded to players
for play in real money games.

Please see our FPP page for details:

http://www.pokerstars.com/fpp/

FPP have many uses. With FPP, you can:

* Buy cool things in the "FPP Store"
* Enter satellite tournaments to other major land based events:
a) European Poker Tour
b) WCOOP -- World Championship of online poker
c) world series of poker
d) PokerStars Caribbean Adventure

Of course, I will forward your suggestion to Management for consideration.
We are very glad to have players like you helping us on improving the
gaming experience here at PokerStars!

Thanks again for your feedback.

Good luck, and we hope to see you in the Bahamas playing for millions
at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure!

Regards,

Ana M.

Sure do miss party poker, I just don't get it, party poker used to give away 16 seats per day for the wsop, 1000 dollar free rolls left and right, now poker stars being the biggest poker site on the net they sure are skimpy as hell, for a site that large I'm sure a $200 free roll is not going to break the bank. A site that large should be having at least a $500 dollar free roll, just plain greedy as hell.

Hard to be upset or complain about anything that is 'free'. I miss those $200 FR's also, but sites do change promotions from time to time. We all suffer resistance to change...:D

I did hear that the 'invites' were going to new members. Likely a promotion by marketing to encourage more cash deposits. Same with the Negreanu FR's. You can even play them from the .net site, but if you should cash, guess what? You need to convert to the cash .com site to use it. Can you say - Marketing ploy??

Most sites make periodical changes. Even the $200 FR's started out with a 15% payout structure (ITM at 1080 of 8,000). After a while, that was lowered to about 5.5% (ITM at 468 of 8,000). If you recall, there was a time earlier yet that U.S. players were not even offered ANY cash FR's other than the tickets to Round 2 weekly events.

U.S. players are a huge market. They can't leave us out for long.
