Best way to get in quickly is to open up the tourney lobby and then just be ready to click onto 'register'.
These tourneys are just about the worst I've ever played online. As mentioned in one of the above posts, the donks survive and make it to the final table where they continue to be clueless.
I've played these while bored and tried to multi-table with 10 of them on my screen, just playing super tight and making snap decisions in them, often a shove or fold approach (cuz alot it is 'no foldem holdem').
The prize of 100ftps, I think it would be better to 'unregister' from Rd. 2 and just save the pts. for something else (like a fulltilt hat, lol). If you do happen to put together some pts., I think the 500ftp super satellite to the $750K is the best go,.. 1 in 5 win 2500ftp's which opens up more oppurtunity to play in other games (or to add to one's fulltilt wardrobe).
If you're fairly new to
online poker and are playing in these Poker After Dark games, be advised,.. you may adopt some very poor habits as these games are not 'real' poker,.. luck becomes disproportionally high to skill in them.
PAD strategy,... play extremely tight. You could actually get away with playing only a few
hands and still make it deep into the tourney. When blinds do begin to escalate, adopt a shove fold approach, while you've still got some fold
equity (most players in them keep putting in preflop raises deep in tourney when they are on less than 5M and should just be shoving it allin if they're first to act). Make sure you're 'first' into the pot when doing this and try to do so in position (unless getting desperate and under 4M) and try to pick the opponents who you feel may have a fairly tight calling range.
